It was decided that 33 "mountain, pike (pike), stand event" events of 18 prefectures that reached the various parts of Japan in total were registered with Intangible Cultural Heritage of the UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). The person concerned raised the joy in the hometown, but the problem is pointed out for the succession of the festival of each place, too.

「秩父祭」の山車＝２０１５年１２月３日、埼玉県秩父市

日本各地に伝わる１８府県の「山・鉾（ほこ）・屋台行事」計３３行事が、ユネスコ（国連教育科学文化機関）の無形文化遺産に登録されることが決まった。地元では関係者が喜びの声を上げたが、各地の祭りの継承には課題も指摘されている。

３３行事の中で、登録決定後最初に開催されるのが、２、３日に埼玉県秩父市である秩父祭（秩父夜祭）だ。
「秩父まつり会館」では１日午前２時２０分すぎ、久喜（くき）邦康市長ら関係者約２０人がくす玉を割って祝った。
秩父夜祭は３００年以上の歴史を育んでいる
