なでしこに国民栄誉賞検討　団体への授与は初


サッカーワールドカップ枝野幸男
　枝野幸男官房長官は２５日午前の記者会見で、サッカー女子ワールドカップ（Ｗ杯）で初優勝した日本代表（なでしこジャパン）に国民栄誉賞を授与する意向を表明した。団体に贈られるのは初めて。

　枝野氏は「真摯（しんし）な努力を重ね、幾多の試練を乗り越え、初優勝という偉業を成し遂げ、多くの国民にさわやかな感動と社会に明るい希望を与えていただいた」と述べ、「事務当局に検討を進めるよう指示した。関係者の意見を聴いて最終判断する」と説明した。

　菅政権は当初、団体への授与例がある内閣総理大臣顕彰を軸に検討。だが、「社会に明るい希望を与えることに顕著な業績があったというのが栄誉賞の目的で、その趣旨に照らすと顕彰よりもふさわしい」（枝野氏）と判断した。
