　異例の正月国会が幕開けした。今年の政局の焦点は何と言っても夏の参院選を野党がどう戦うのかだが、それは、４日の小沢一郎生活の党代表の記者会見でのこの発言に集約されている。
「（野党が）現状のままなら、自公３分の２議席獲得は現実的にありうる」

　野党共闘はカメののろさではあるが、この日、民主と維新が衆院で統一会派を組んだ。民主の岡田克也代表は「安倍政治の暴走を許すようなことがあれば政権交代可能な政治は遠のいてしまう」と意気込み、維新の松野頼久代表は「春先には新党を結成して、参院選で必ず勝ち抜く」と決意表明した。共産党はこれまでの方針を転換し、天皇が臨席する開会式に出席した。安倍狂乱政治を前に、四の五の言っている状況じゃないのは、どの野党も頭では分かっているはずだ。

　そんな野党を後押しする強力な応援団もできる。樋口陽一東大名誉教授や小林節慶大名誉教授らを中心に、今月１９日、「民間『立憲』臨調」が発足する。昨夏の「安保法反対」で活動した知識人や弁護士などが再び立ち上がり、「憲法の危機」に対し、真の国民主権を取り戻すために定期的に情報発信をしていく予定だという。


　賛同者は１８０人。長谷部恭男早大教授、水島朝穂早大教授、中野晃一上智大教授ら学者。元スイス大使の村田光平、元経産官僚の古賀茂明、女性弁護士の草分けの角田由紀子、俳優の宝田明、音楽評論家の湯川れい子、作曲家の三枝成彰、シールズの奥田愛基ら各氏の錚々たる顔ぶれだ。

　政治ジャーナリストの鈴木哲夫氏がこう言う。

「通常は受け身の有権者側が、ここまで能動的に野党を応援する。野党にとってこんな恵まれた話はありません。それもここまで野党がグズグズしていたら、有権者が諦めてしまいそうなものなのに諦めない。学者や学生や弁護士ら利益団体ではない人たちがこれだけ声を上げているのに野党が共闘できなければ、今後、政治は完全に国民から見放されてしまうでしょう。小異を捨てて大同に就くしかありません」

　ネックは一番グズグズしている民主党だが……。

「岡田代表は一気にエイヤーではなく、地域ごとに話をしながら手順を踏んでいる。岡田代表の頭の中に、解党して新党という選択肢はあると思います」（鈴木哲夫氏）

　強力応援団が野党の尻に火をつけることになる。
