「 The Green Green Grass Of Home」は、Curly Putman Jr.（ｶｰﾘｰ･ﾌﾟｯﾄﾏﾝ Jr）によって書かれました、主人公が故郷に帰って昔を懐かしむ楽しい曲に思えますがそういう曲ではありません。刑務所に入所中の死刑囚の男は夢を見ます、それは彼の子供時代のj情景です。そして、目を覚ますと自分が夢を見ていただけであることを実感、目の前には処刑前の祈りをする神父、その後、埋葬されるためだけに家に帰ります。皆、故郷の古い樫の木の日陰で彼に会いにきあす。1965年、Johnny Darrell （ｼﾞｮﾆｰ･ﾀﾞﾚﾙ）によって最初にﾘﾘｰｽ、ｶﾝﾄﾘｰﾁｬｰﾄで4位に達しました。Tom Jones（ﾄﾑ・ｼﾞｮｰﾝｽﾞ）は、Jerry Lee Lewis（ｼﾞｪﾘｰ･ﾘｰ･ﾙｲｽ）のｶﾝﾄﾘｰｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ””Country Songs For City Folks”を聞き曲に感銘を受け、1966年、英国でｼﾝｸﾞﾙをﾘﾘｰｽ、英国ﾁｬｰﾄで合計7週間、1位、Billboad/Hot100、11位を記録しました。1968年、Trini Lopez（ ﾄﾘﾆ･ﾛﾍﾟｽ‎）はｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Welcome To Trini Country”、
