 ”Pop Gear ”は私が高校生の頃､見た映画です。それは1965年3月に英国で製作された70分の音楽映画です。The Beatlesをはじめ The Animals、Herman's Hermits､Peter & Gordonなど当時の英国の人気のﾐｭｰｼﾞｼｬﾝが多数､出演していました。A World Without Love （愛なき世界）は､その中でPeter & Gordon によって歌われています｡1964年にﾃﾞﾋﾞｭｰ・ｼﾝｸﾞﾙしてﾘﾘｰｽされましたが､1964年4月25日付の全英ｼﾝｸﾞﾙﾁｬｰﾄでThe Beatles のCan't Buy Me Loveを1位から蹴落とし、2週連続で1位を記録しました。また､米国のﾋﾞﾙﾎﾞｰﾄﾞHot100でも1位を記録しました。なお､作詞・作曲はThe BeatlesのPaul McCartneyですが､彼らはﾚｺｰﾄﾞをﾘﾘｰｽしていません。この動画はﾃﾞﾓ録音されたものです。 そして､60年代の人気女性ｺｰﾗｽ・ｸﾞﾙｰﾌﾟ､The Supremes(ｼｭｰﾌﾟﾘｰﾑｽ）は1964年にﾘﾊﾞﾌﾟｰﾙ・ｻｳﾝｽﾞを集めたｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Ａ Bit Of Liverpool”､The Lettermenは1975年ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”A World Without Love”をﾘﾘｰｽ、曲を収録しています。また、Monalisa Twins(ﾓﾅﾘｻ･ﾄｩｲﾝｽﾞ）は ｵｰｽﾄﾘｱで現在､活動中の美人姉妹ﾃﾞｭｵです。ﾚﾊﾟｰﾄﾘｰの殆どが60’S のﾎﾟｯﾌﾟ・ﾛｯｸ のｶﾊﾞｰが中心で､2014年にはThe Beatlesをｶﾊﾞｰ･ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”MonaLisa Twins Play Beatles & More ”をﾘﾘｰｽしています。さわやかなｺｰﾗｽは一押しです。なお､動画はYou Tubeに投稿されていたものです。

 2011-07-11 に一度取り上げましたが新しい音源も見つけましたので再編集しました。曲は1965年ﾘﾘｰｽThe Travelers 3のｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”New Sounds"にFreedom Callingとして収録され､我々はそれをｶﾊﾞｰしました。Phil Ochsの作品で独特のｺｰﾄﾞ進行で構成されています。導入部はC調でC-Em-A-D|G-C-Dの進行となっており､各ｸﾞﾙｰﾌﾟのｱﾚﾝｼﾞを聴き比べてみると面白いですよ。Tracy Newman は1961年に結成されたThe New Christy Minstrels（ﾆｭｰ・ｸﾘｽﾃｨｰ・ミンｽﾄﾚﾙｽﾞ）の創立ﾒﾝﾊﾞｰです。動画は1965年に公共TVで放映された”What's New”というｼﾘｰｽﾞ番組の一部です。 彼女は現在も米国のTV製作者、作家とｼﾝｶﾞｰ・ｿﾝｸﾞﾗｲﾀｰとして活躍中です。Joe & EddieはJoe Gilbert （ｼﾞｮｰ･ｷﾞﾙﾊﾞｰﾄ）とEddie Brown(ｴﾃﾞｨｰ･ﾌﾞﾗｳﾝ）のﾃﾞｭｵです。彼らは、ｺﾞｽﾍﾟﾙ、ﾌｫｰｸｿﾝｸﾞとﾌﾞﾙｰｽをｼﾞｬｽﾞﾃｲｽﾄで歌うｽﾀｲﾙです。1963年ﾘﾘｰｽのｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ"Coast To Coast ″に曲は収録されています。なお、Liberty Bellsに関しては調べてみましたが経歴はわかりませんがとても、素晴らしいｺｰﾗｽです。

The Garden Songは､1975年にDavid Mallett(ﾃﾞｰﾋﾞｯﾄﾞ･ﾏﾚｯﾄ)によって書かれた人気のﾌｫｰｸｿﾝｸﾞです。家族の経営する農場での経験から作った歌で､1978年に発表しました。そして､1997年には米国で「The Garden Song 」として絵本化され､翌年､日本語版「ぐんぐんぐん－みどりのうた」も出版されましたJohn Denverは1979年9月､TVｼｮｰのThe Muppet Show（ｻｾﾐ･ｽﾄﾘｰｯﾄ）に出演､この歌を童謡として､広めました。彼の1980年のｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ"Voice Of America”収録されました。Pete Seegerは1979年､ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ"Circles & Seasons”に､ Peter,Paul＆Maryは1995年､ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ"Peter,Paul & Mommy,Too"に曲を収録しました。なお､Makem & Clancyは英国BBC放送における､Liveの動画です。

Yesterday Oncs More の歌詞のように､若かった頃、ﾗｼﾞｵで聞いたMy Favorite Songsの１つです。歌っているにはBobby Vinton （ﾎﾞﾋﾞｰ･ｳﾞｨﾝﾄﾝ）です。1962年に､ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Roses Are Red｣”に収録されました。1964年にｼﾝｸﾞﾙｶｯﾄされ､ﾋﾞﾙﾎﾞｰﾄﾞ･ﾋｯﾄﾁｬｰﾄ１位を記録しました。彼は1963年にｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Blue On Blue”をﾘﾘｰｽ、収録曲は、Blue On Blue/Am I Blue//Blue, Blue Day/Mr. Blue/Blue Velvet/St.Louis Blues/Blue Skies/Blue Hawaii/Blue Moon
/Little Miss Blue/Blueberry Hill/My Blue Heavenと全て曲名にBlueが入っています。このことから彼のﾆｯｸﾈｰﾑはMr. Blueと名付けられました。そしてBlue On Blue/Blue Velvetは1963年、Mr. Blueは1965年にｼﾝｸﾞﾙ･ｶｯﾄされました。特にBlue Velvetはもう一つのMy Favorite Songです。David Lynch監督の映画「Blue Velvet」が制作されました。

The Lettermen は1970年にCover、ｼﾝｸﾞﾙをﾘﾘｰｽしました。

この詩はEdgar Allan Poe（ｴﾄﾞｶﾞｰ･ｱﾗﾝ･ﾎﾟｰ）が書きました。彼は書籍でした。1848年に「The Bells」を書き込んで､連盟誌に投稿､1849年､彼の死後にそれは出版されました。Phil Ochs（ﾌﾙ･ｵｯｸｽ）はこの詩に曲をつけ､1964年､ﾘﾘｰｽのｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ""All The News That's Fit To Sing"に収録しました。The MFQ も同年､ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Changes”の中で曲をｶﾊﾞｰしています、また､The Ivy League Trioは1963年ﾘﾘｰｽのｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Ballads From The World Of Edgar Allan Poe”では別ﾊﾞｰｼﾞｮﾝで録音しています。

なお､PhilOchsの動画のｲﾝﾄﾛ部の鐘の音はｷﾞﾀｰの低音弦を重ねて､ﾌﾚｯﾄを押え､弦を弾くとあんな感じになります。そして､訳詞の中のﾙｰﾝ文字は､ｷﾘｽﾄ教化を受けるまで､ｹﾞﾙﾏﾝ系の民族の間で広く用いられていた表音文字のことです。
