The Brothers Four

The Brothers Fourは1964年、ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ:”More Big Folk Hits”をﾘﾘｰｽ､Come To My Bedsideを収録しました。曲はｼﾝｶﾞｰ･ｿﾝｸﾞﾗｲﾀｰ､Eric Andersen（ｴﾘｯｸ・ｱﾝﾀﾞｰｽﾝ）作品です。彼は１０代の頃からｷﾞﾀｰを携えてた放浪の旅をはじめました。１９６３年、ｻﾝﾌﾗﾝｼｽｺのｺｰﾋｰﾊｳｽでTom Paxton（ﾄﾑ･ﾊﾟｸｽﾄﾝ）に見いだされ､翌年､ﾆｭｰﾖｰｸに移りました。そこでBob Dylan（ﾎﾞﾌﾞ・ﾃﾞｨﾗﾝ）やPhil Ochs（ﾌｨﾙ・ｵｸｽ）らと並んでｸﾞﾘﾆｯｼﾞ・ｳﾞｨﾚｯｼﾞの一員となりました。作品は愛や放浪をﾃｰﾏにした内省的 でﾛﾏﾝﾃｨｯｸなものとなっています。以前、紹介したThirsty Bootsも彼の作品です。1965年、ｳﾞｧﾝｶﾞｰﾄﾞからﾃﾞﾋﾞｭｰ・ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Today is the Highway”をﾘﾘｰｽ､曲を収めました。また､ｲﾀﾘｱの夫婦ﾌｫｰｸ･ﾃﾞｭｵ､Tony & Nelly （ﾄﾆｰ&ﾈﾘｰ）も１９６６年､ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Tony & Nelly”でVieni (来て）という曲名で取り上げています。
