「Joy To The World」は、世界的によく知られているｸﾘｽﾏｽｷｬﾛﾙ（讃美歌）のひとつです。ｸﾘｽﾏｽｷｬﾛﾙ（ｶﾛﾙ）とは、主にｲｴｽ･ｷﾘｽﾄの誕生に関する内容を歌詞にしたもので、ｸﾘｽﾏｽの夜に、教会や街で歌われる慣習があります。曲は、英国のの牧師・讃美歌作家､Isaac Watts（ｱｲｻﾞｯｸ・ﾜｯﾂ）によって作詞されました。聖書をもとに作られたWattsの歌詞は、ｷﾘｽﾄの誕生ではなく、再臨（世界の終わりに､ｷﾘｽﾄが再びこの世に現れること）をたたえる詩としての意味合いが強くなっています。日本では「もろびとこぞりて」としてよく知られていますが、元来、「Hark Theglad Sound」とﾄﾞｲﾂ語詞の訳詞で「Joy To The World」とは異なります。

なお､Ray Conniff And The Singersは1976年､ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Christmas With Ray Conniff”､Mariah Carey（ﾏﾗｲｱ･ｷｬﾘｰ）は1994年､ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Merry Christmas”､The Martinsは‎2009年､ﾌﾞﾙｰｸﾞﾗｽ･ｽﾀｲﾙでｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Christmas”､The King's Singerは2011､ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Joy To The World”､Pentatonix(ﾍﾟﾝﾀﾄﾆｯｸｽ)は‎2015年、ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”That's Christmas To Me"に曲を収録しています。
