New York= for 23 days which met with a heavy snow (Reuters = Kyodo)
[Washingtonian Kyodo] on the 23rd, the heavy snow bet on the east from the south in the US was a snowstorm by strong wind at all part. There are a lot of places where about 30 centimeters of snow was recorded. It was the scale which influences about 80,000,000 people centering on east coast. Even most great city New York as well as metropolitan Washington were a heavy snow. It's thought to keep getting off until the 24th.
Andrew M. Cuomo governor of the State of New York directed passing prohibited besides the emergency vehicle which can be put in New York City after 2:30pm on the 23rd according to U.S. media. A shuttle bus was suspended and theater district Broadway also announced performance cancellation on the 23rd.
About at most 60 centimeters of snow was expected and metropolitan Washington estimated more than 30 centimeters already including a suburb.

【ワシントン共同】米南部から東部にかけた大雪は23日、各地で強風による吹雪になった。30センチ前後の積雪を記録した場所が多い。東海岸を中心に約8千万人に影響する規模になった。首都ワシントンだけでなく、最大都市ニューヨークでも大雪になった。24日まで降り続くとみられる。
米メディアによると、ニューヨーク州のクオモ知事は23日午後2時半以降、ニューヨーク市内における緊急車両以外の通行禁止を指示した。路線バスは運休し、劇場街ブロードウェーも23日の公演中止を発表した。
首都ワシントンは最大60センチ前後の積雪が見込まれ、近郊を含め既に30センチ以上積もった。
