青梅の古民家「風土舎ハクナマタタ」アフリカ語で“どなたでも
どうぞ”という意味だそうです。

早速東京から縄文インストラクターの三崎君と飯塚君の彼女が
訪問してくれました。
冒険家の関野吉晴先生達が縄文時代の火おこしにトライされて
いたので、三崎君と飯塚君達も体験させて頂きました。

関野先生は先日も火おこしにトライされましたが、その時には
上手く行かなくて、再度トライされていて、2回目は上手く煙
が出て来ました。
先生の手のひらには血豆ができていましたが、諦めませんでし
た(笑)



関野先生は、ドキュメント映画を2年がかりで製作中です。
野口さんの古民家の近くに石器時代の竪穴住居を建てると
いう事で、軽トラの荷台に乗って私もその土地を見学させて
貰いました。

お聞きしたら、石で作った斧をそのまま使用して木を切ったり
石を割ったりするので、時間がかかるんだそうです。
関野吉晴先生の著書「北方ルート、サハリンの旅」日本人の来た道
は、興味深く読みました。

「北方ルート」「南方ルート」「海上ルート」の3ルートを徒歩
で横断されたそうです。
「北方ルート」は、国際縄文学協会のセミナーでお話しがあった
縄文人は7,000年かけて北海道出発サハリンからエストニアに辿り
着き縄文土器と犬ソリの貿易を成し遂げたと、反対ルートで内山純三
先生の話と共通していました。すごいなあと思ってっしまいました。


岡野先生の初対面は、自然体の気さくな方で枠がなく、飯塚君の質問
にも熱心に応えて下さっていました。


縄文体験させて頂いて、ランチの後は野口さん達と、縄文ストレッチ
ワークショップを致しました。

本日は青梅に来て頂きありがとうございました。


都内のセミナーで出会い、名刺交換しても、それで終わりな事
が多いのですが、今日のような出会いは、仕事から離れて自由
な時間の中で、上下関係なくお付き合いができます。


竹村先生も趣味で繋がる人間関係を持ちなさいと、言われて
おりましたよ。

The old farmhouse in Ome, called "Fudoya Hakunamatata," means "

everyone is welcome" in African language.


Immediately, Jomon instructors Misaki-kun and Iizuka-kun, along 

with Iizuka-kun's girlfriend, visited from Tokyo. Inspired by the 

adventurous Mr. Sekino Yoshiharu's attempts to start a fire in the

 Jomon period, Misaki-kun and Iizuka-kun had the opportunity to 

experience it as well.


Mr. Sekino had tried starting a fire recently without success but 

made another attempt, and the second time, smoke successfully 

emerged. Though he had blisters on his palm, he didn't give up (laughs).


Mr. Sekino is currently working on a documentary film, which has 

taken two years to produce. He plans to build a pit dwelling from 

the Stone Age near Mr. Noguchi's farmhouse. I had the chance to 

ride on the bed of a light truck and visit the site.


I learned that it takes time because they use stone axes to cut 

wood and split rocks. I found Mr. Sekino's book, "Northern Route: 

A Journey through Sakhalin," fascinating to read.


He crossed three routes on foot: the Northern Route, the Southern 

Route, and the Maritime Route. Regarding the "Northern Route," 

there is a story that Jomon people, over a span of 7,000 years,

 departed from Hokkaido, reached Sakhalin, and eventually arrived 

in Estonia, accomplishing Jomon pottery and dog sled trade. 

This aligns with the story told by Professor Junzo Uchiyama 

about the opposite route during a seminar at the International 

Jomon Studies Association. It's truly amazing.


Meeting Mr. Sekino for the first time was delightful. He was a 

down-to-earth and friendly person, and he eagerly responded 

to Iizuka-kun's questions.


After experiencing Jomon activities, we had a Jomon stretch 

workshop with Mr. Noguchi and others after lunch.

Thank you for coming to Ome today. Often, after meeting at seminars in Tokyo and exchanging business cards, the connection ends there. However, encounters like today, where we spend free time without the constraints of hierarchy, allow us to have relationships without boundaries.


As Professor Takemura suggested, it's important to cultivate connections through hobbies.
