When I get this lunch box, I read the name, "Killing time lunch box."
I read it as hi-ma-tsu-bu-shi, but really it is hi-tsu-ma-bu-shi.
It means the grilled eel mixed with steamed rice in the rice pot.

In my childhood, there is no habit of eating rice roll cake on the eve of
the begining of the spring. They call this "The good luck direction roll".
The Japanese pronounciation is e-hou-maki that sounds for me a-hou-maki
( A fool's roll).
The right is of Nihon Shokudo restaurant
( I bought it at the Shinjuku Station.
The Nihon Shokudo company is the train foods company).
The left is of Tokyu Store and it took me over 700 yen.
(The price is two times, but the taste is two times better or not,
I can't say.)

This dish is cheaper than the dish of fried chicken.
I cann't explain well how it tastes.
It is not bad but I feel a little fear if the sting would sting my tongue
in my mouth.
I like fried scorpion.

The last day I could see the 103 type train is the November 8.
This shot is the last stop at the Nishiurawa station.
It is regrettable to watch no cameraman take this on this platform.
Almost of cameraboys and men are on the train for the destination, Fuchuu
-honmachi. And I think it favorable that they prefered riding it to taking
a picture of it.

A 103 type of train is running in the full light of late afternoon sun.
Only two trains of 103 type run on the Musashino line. They didn't come on the
same time every day. So this is the last chance to take it in the good light.

I worked as a gard on the platform of the Nishiurawa station from June to the
third of march.
Once a job ends, I can't remember the bad things but many happy things.
One of the happy memories is the train watchers with their camera.
Firstly they are the dangerous passenger for me. Almost of them pay attention
to their safety from the train. But a few wont admit they are in the dangerous
area against running train. Nobody is admitted to enter the area in one meter
from the end of the sleeper. This area of the platform is marked with striped
plates.
This cameraman knows well about the safty rule of train system.
He takes a photography of a passenger train which would be scrapped in the near
future. They say it would dissappear before the September.
(But it keeps running till the December.)

Los Angels is on the oil fields. Here and there people can see small oil wells
in towns.
Firstly I can't understand words, "moving ground" or "moving home". At that time,
the home and land of my boss is on sale. But he find few men who want to buy it
owing to the moving land.
"Sam,
(In L.A. they call me Sam from my first name hiSAMitsu.)
can you truly understand the land of L.A. can move? My home can move because
the land moves under it."
"Is it like earthquake?"
"No, it isn't. When I bought it, I didn't know an oil field under the land.
I thought there is an enough distance to the nearest oil well not to move the
land."

THE SHINING by Stephen King

A man who has lost his job owing to his hard temper has a wife and five
years old boy, Danny who was once broken his arms with his father. His
freind recomends him to winter season caretaker of a big hotel in the
moutain of deep snow area.
The boy has a talent of "shining" with which he can know what will be and
what people think. Danny can read the minds of parents and knows they are
in danger of devorce.
There are somethings in the hotel. Those are the ghosts which had spent
nights there and were killed. Every evening these ghosts hold a party.
They find the talent of Danny. If they get the power of Danny, their ghost
power would become stronger to occupy the hotel completely.
The gohsts choose the father as the murder of Danny
(In the mind of Danny, before visiting the hotel, a mystery word often came.
The word, "Redrum" is the reversing of "murder". But Danny can not understand
it.)
and start charming the father who has a broken dream of becoming a great writer

and who was alchoholic eater. When he drinks a glass of jin, he cann't stop it
and becomes bad temper to break the arms of his son. He lost his teaching job
owing to the violences against his student.
(I feel hard to keep reading the part of the failure of life. It is too sad.)
The gohsts invite the father into their midnight party and at last the father
thinks his failure is responsible with his wife and son. He get a mallet to
attack them. The coda of long darkness begins.
(The last sixty pages after P.382 is very horrible and thrilling! I can't
go to bed with two glasses of whisky to fall in sleepness without the nightmare.
I never want to read a horror fiction!)
