これは、約3年前のテニ雑誌の写真です。んで、名前の発音「ジャスティン」が気になりますの。外国人選手は、発音の仕方で、表記がいくつかありますよね。まぁ、登録などして、メディアでは統一しているかもしれませんが。例えば、Clijstersも「クライシュテルス」や「クリスターズ」などがあります。母国語の発音と英語の発音と言うことでしょう。
This is the photo of Japanese tennis magazine about three years ago. Well, I mind about the pronunciation of "Justine". This magazine is English pronunciation. There are some notations in Japanese language because of the different pronunciations by some languages. Maybe, they might be unified for Japanese media now. For example, Clijsters, it has two notations in Japanese language because of the pronunciations by the language of one's mother country and English.

あら、こちらは「ジュスティーヌ」になっていますね。適当だなぁ(^^;)。。「ジュスティーヌ・エナン」はフランス語の発音、「ジャスティン・ヘニン」は英語の発音なのですね。今は「ジュスティーヌ・エナン」で統一されているようですが、Wikipediaによると、昔は、この英語の発音の表記だったんだとか。。やだ、ヘニンなんて。。

最近、購入した「朝日ウィークリー」です。英語の教材として買ってみたんですが、「Justin」の文字が。。彼は、ティーンエイジャーの男の子、歌手のジャスティン・ビーバーです。有名らしいですね。私は、知らねーですが。。これは、もちろん、英語の発音ですが、、「Justine」と違って「e」がないですよねぇ、「e」の意味が知りたい(^^;)。。
