映画「１０００００年後の安全」宮崎でも上映始まる

予定を前倒しして公開が始まった「１０００００年後の安全」のチラシ。販売用のパンフレットの制作も間に合っていないという＝宮崎市橘通東３丁目の宮崎キネマ館
原子力発電所から出た放射性廃棄物の処理問題と向き合うドキュメンタリー映画「１０００００年後の安全」の公開が４日、宮崎市の「宮崎キネマ館」で始まった。タイムカプセルのように危険を閉じ込める施設の存在を通じ、原子力利用の人類へのリスクを問いかけている。
この映画は、世界で初めて、フィンランドで建設が進む高レベル放射性廃棄物の最終処分場「オンカロ」（フィンランド語で「隠れた場所」の意）が舞台だ。
地下５００メートル、１８億年前の地層の岩盤にトンネルを掘り進み、「地下都市」のような巨大な貯蔵施設を建設する。２０２０年に完成予定の施設には、同国内の原発から出る１００年分の廃棄物を貯蔵し、入り口を封鎖。放射能が安全なレベルに下がるまで、１０万年間閉じ込めるという。
１０万年後、現代文明が存続しているか、誰にも分からない。人類が施設の「遺跡」を発見し、好奇心から発掘する可能性もある。未来の人類にどうやって危険性を伝えるか。それとも施設の痕跡を消し、永遠に地中に眠らせることができるか。様々な手法を検討する関係者の証言をつづる。
今から10万年前は、最後の氷河期が訪れる前の間氷期と言われ（余談ですが日本では江戸時代も間氷期であり、隅田川は1月、2月は結氷し船での通行はできなかった）人類はマンモスなどと共同生活をしていた。そこで人類の10万年後ですが、ある人は氷河に覆われているといい、またある人は火星みたいに、風速200mの熱風が吹き荒れる不毛の砂漠といいます。誰も分かりません。そこで、フィンランドの科学者は真剣に話し合っていた。
高レベル放射性廃棄物の処分場の記録は公文書館に残すが、10万年後の人類は、はたして解読できるだろうか、文明の継続が途絶えて原始人にもどり読めないかもしれない。もしある程度の文明があったら、考古学者が発掘しないように、絵の標識で警告すれば良いとか、といろいろな議論をしている。
アメリカでは、ロッキー山脈のまん中にこの高レベル放射性廃棄物の処分場を作ろうとしたが、周辺住民の大反対で計画は頓挫。現在も処分場は無し。
日本の場合は、特殊なガラスて、30年から50年にわたり専用施設で冷却したあと、深さ300m以上の安定した地層に処分することになっている。安全性は十分確保出来るとされている。しかし、その処分場はまだ決まっていない。ひょっとしたら、六ヶ所村かもしれないが。
日本においては、今回のプレートの移動による巨大地震と1000ヶ所以上の活断層による大地震の可能性の状況をみたら安全に地下に保存することなど夢物語である。
当初は今秋公開予定だったが、東京電力福島第一原発の事故を受け、配給会社の意向で前倒しされた。
上映作品に推したのは、同館を運営するＮＰＯ法人・宮崎文化本舗の青松俊哉さん（３８）だ。まず映像の美しさに驚き、最終処分場を用意しないまま、世界に原発が増設されている現状を初めて知ったという。
「映画をきっかけに原発を考え、自分で調べて判断してほしい」と話す。
原発から出てきたゴミ:高レベル放射性廃棄物の処分を決められないうちに、300基以上の原発をもって地球を数1000回破滅させることが出来る原発を作っていることが、地球全体の大きな問題なのです。pfk.
鑑賞した高原町の丸山修平さん（６４）は「原発は低コストだと聞いていたが、最終処分まで含めれば、考えられないくらい膨大な投資額とリスクがかかる」と思い直したという。妻の和子さん（６２）は「人類が始末できないものに手を出したことにぞっとする。子や孫の代には残せない。生活レベルを落としてでも、原発自体を止めなければ」と話した。
公開は１７日までの予定。
