「風土舎」シアトルの娘家族と縄文体験。Experience the Jomon period at Fudosha in with my daughter's family from Seattle.
7月1日青梅市古民家の風土舎で、シアトルの娘家族と合流しました。
一年前に田舎暮らし、風土舎に一ヶ月滞在した時と風景は
何も変わっていませんでした。

変わったことといえば、山羊さんに赤ちゃんが産まれるということだけでした。
夜になると庭先に蛍の大群が現れて、二人のお孫さん達が“アッ”
とお叫び、蒼光りする蛍に驚き‼️
遊び相手は自然の中の小鳥ちゃんやカエル🐸さん。
このおばあちゃんも遊び相手として、珍しく指名がかかります。(笑)
着いた日の夕食には、鹿の🦌たたきをオーナーの野口さん
がご馳走して下さいました。
去年ここでお会いした関野先生が石器時代の竪穴住居を建て
られて、5日間水とどんぐりだけで、過ごされたお話で盛り上がり
ました。
去年関野先生が石器時代の縄文人体験をするとお聞きした時には、
信じ難かったんですが、実際に去年の暮れに実行されたとかで、
やり過ぎ〜ではと、思いましたが、、、、
「3日かけて石器で細木を伐り、どんぐりと水で5日間すごす。
人類の来た道を辿る探検家・関野吉晴さんが、今度は「旧石器
時代の暮らし」から見つめなおす。」
の写真から関野先生は、皺くちゃのお顔になられているのではと
思いきや 、50歳くらい若返られていて、すごいなぁと感心し
てしまいました。
70歳過ぎてから縄文体験を何故するのかとお聞きしたら、縄文
を本当に知るためには、文明から完全に離れてみることから、
その時代にタイムトリップし生きるすざましさを感じてみたいって
ことでした。
On July 1st, I met up with my daughter's family at the old house in Ome, Fudosha.
The scenery hadn't changed at all since I lived in the countryside a year ago and stayed at Fudosha for a month.
The only thing that had changed was that the goat had given birth to a baby.
At night, a swarm of fireflies appeared in the garden, and the two grandchildren screamed, "Ah!", in surprise at the glowing blue fireflies! ️
They played with small birds and frogs🐸 in nature.
This grandmother was also chosen as a playmate, which is rare. (lol)
For dinner on the day we arrived, the owner, Mr. Noguchi, treated us to a delicious venison tataki.
We had a great time hearing about how Professor Sekino, whom I met here last year, built a stone-age pit dwelling and spent five days living on only water and acorns.
When I heard last year that Professor Sekino was going to experience life as a Jomon man in the Stone Age, I found it hard to believe, but he actually did it at the end of last year, and I thought it was a bit excessive, but...
"Three days to cut down a tree with stone tools, and five days to live with acorns and water. Explorer Yoshiharu Sekino, who follows the path of humankind, will now look back at life in the Paleolithic Age."
From the photo, I thought Professor Sekino would have a wrinkled face, but he looked about 50 years younger, which I thought was amazing and impressed me.
When I asked him why he was going to experience the Jomon period after he turned 70, he said that in order to truly understand the Jomon period, he wanted to completely leave civilization behind, travel back in time to that period, and feel the awesomeness of living there.
