オリンピックは何の為に What is the Olympics for?

2021年東京オリンピックが始まりました。

人生で2回のオリンピック開催に遭遇しましたが、今回の

オリンピックは特に歓迎できるだけのものではないけれど

人間の限界に挑戦しているアスリート姿をみると、この大会が

無事終わるように、応援と祈りを込めてテレビにかじりついて

います。

オリンピック選手になるには、身体能力がヘラクルス並みで、

才能環境など色々な面でずば抜けている人で、また自分の努力

以外にも先祖から頂いたDNAも見逃せません。

オリンピックは何のために？

ある意味の天才の集合体ですので、そこにはエネルギーが満ち溢れ

ています。

”コロナに打ち勝つオリンピック“と、言われていましたが、そういう

意味では分かる気がしますね。

元フィギュアスケートアスリートの私も、父が水泳の選手でしたので、

4人兄弟の中の女の子1人でしたが、その運動神経は私だけが受け

ついでいて、オリンピックをみていてもその運動神経が疼きます。

夜更かししてテレビ観戦していますが、見ている合間にはストレッチを

しているので、何故か元気いっぱいです。

メダルを取れなかった選手にも、過酷な練習して来た苦労を労う意味で

も声援を送っています。

シアトルの娘からは“どうしてそんなに元気なの？と、呆れられています(笑)

The 2021 Tokyo Olympics are being held. I have encountered two 

Olympic games in my life, but this time the Olympics are not just 

welcome. However, when I see the athletes pushing the limits of 

human beings, I am biting on the TV with support and prayer so that the tournament will end safely.


To become an Olympic athlete, they are person who has the l

same physical ability as Heracles and is outstanding in various 

aspects such as talent and environment. In addition to their efforts,

 the DNA they received from their ancestors is also involved.


What is the Olympics for? They are, in a sense, a collection of 

geniuses, so they are full of energy. It is said to be the "Olympic 

Games overcoming Corona", but in that sense I think I understand.


Former figure skating athlete I and my dad were swimmers. 

Of the four siblings, I was the only girl, but my father's motor

 pnerves are only accepted by me.


Even watching the Olympics, my potential motor nerves tingle.

 I stay up late and watch TV, but I'm full of energy because I'm 

stretching while I'm watching. Even the players who couldn't get

 the medals are cheering for the hard work they have been 

practicing hard.
My daughter in Seattle wondered, "Why are you so fine?" (Laughs)
