馬酔木 Andromeda

Ashibi(馬酔木 andromeda) means "horse-drunk-tree". If a horse eats the leaves, it will get drunken, they say. These black tiny fruits have poison. In the child play of pretending a family, children used to be intoxicated with the beautiful fruits and some died. The flowers are beautiful, but the fruits are poisonous.

When I take this picture, an old woman speaks to me.
"These are very pretty flowers, aren't these? But I regret I don't know the name. "
Of course, I explain the flower to her.
