「The Fool on the Hill(ﾌｰﾙ･ｵﾝ･ｻﾞ･ﾋﾙ)」は、The Beatles（ﾋﾞｰﾄﾙｽﾞ）が1967年にﾘr-ｽたTV映画『『Magical Mystery Tour（ﾏｼﾞｶﾙ･ﾐｽﾃﾘｰ･ﾂｱｰ）』の挿入歌です。同年､ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ" Magical Mystery Tour"もﾘﾘｰｽされてています。Lenon-McCartney(ﾚﾉﾝ‐ﾏｯｶｰﾄﾆｰ) の共同名義となっていますが、Paul McCartney (ﾎﾟｰﾙ・ﾏｯｶｰﾄﾆｰ)によって書かれた曲で、ﾘｰﾄﾞ･ﾎﾞｰｶﾙも自身で務めています。「The Fool on the Hill」は、英語で「丘の上の阿呆」の意味で、ｵﾗﾝﾀﾞのﾃﾞｻﾞｲﾅｰ集団「ｻﾞ･ﾌｰﾙ」と、同名のﾀﾛｯﾄｶｰﾄﾞに由来しています。
Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66(ｾﾙｼﾞｵﾒﾝﾃﾞｽ＆ﾌﾞﾗｼﾙ66）は1968年,ｼﾝｸﾞﾙをﾘﾘｰｽ､Billboard Hot100､6位を記録しました｡翌年､ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Introducing Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66”に収録しました。1969年､Four Topsは ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Four Tops Now!に、Shirley Bassey （ｼｬｰﾘｰ･ﾊﾞｯｼｰ）はｱﾙﾊﾞﾑﾑ”The Shirley Bassey Singles Album”に､1982年､The Singers Unlimited（ｼﾝｶﾞｰｽﾞ･ｱﾝﾘﾐﾃｯﾄﾞ）はｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”The Singers Unlimited”に曲を収録しています。
