Buluffers Park

It was unseasonably mild and sunny the other weekend.

We came out from the Wal-mart and thought;

"What are we doing in there?! We should get out you know"

Suddendly,

"Let's go for a drive!"

We just drove with the windews open and went down to the Bluffers Park in the east end, Scarborough.

It was just a normal neighrourhood until we took the bumppy road down between the cliff.

WOOOOOW!!

As it was all of a sudden and I didn't have a camera with me, these are taken with my camera installed in my cell phone. I quite liked them as they came out very nicely.

I knew of this park but I hadn't been there or handn't thought this was such a beautiful park with am amazing view!

It was still a bit chilly in the evening so we just hang out a bit, had Timmy's and headed home.

It's just located right across the residencial area. Once you go through the "tunnel". The view is out there for you.

This is the Pacific Mall built by a Hong Kong developer imitating Hong Kong shopping streets inside the building. It looks very different from Canadian shopping malls and has lots of pirate DVD stores (recently they are being banned...), eye glasses stores, Asian clothes shops, electronics shops, etc.

This shopping mall is even desribed in the textbooks that we used in our Master's program!

And heading home...I like to see the sunset in a car. Of course I do, I am not driving anymore!

Vietnamese

Asian

See what we've got today.

This Vietnamese sandwich is amazingly reasonable. They are sold under $2.00 each!!

If you buy a sandwich at Subway, one would easily cost more than $5.00 you know.

And today is a Vietnamese day!

We made Vietnamese cold spring rolls.

First, slice vegitables.

Second, cook the noodles.

Third, soak a rice paper.

Finally, roll roll roll youself!

Cold spring rolls are served with this Vietnamese fish sauce.

I cooked a big pot of Minestrone tonight.
I guess I will keep eating this soup this week...

And this is Grilled chicken and vegitables (Red peppers, egg plants and tomatoes) with olive oil, rosemary, thyme and garlic.

Hmmm, I love the oven grilled vegitables! Especially eggplants and red peppers go very well with olive oil.

Tasting Note
Ruby red colour; aromas of raspberry, cherry fruit, mineral and earty with a touch of vanilla and spice; light-to medium-bodied; shows good varietal character.

Roast pork, grilled salmon or salmon sashimi

California

Rib

Very good!
