What a beautiful sight to behold! Christmas has begun… at least in some houses!
The adage expression is “Once Halloween is over, it’s the start of Christmas” and if it puts a smile on people’s faces, isn’t that all that matters!
With more and more shops starting Christmas immediately after Halloween, we spoke to one woman who climbs up into the attic ladder and decorates her house in the first week of November, every year.
Dublin woman June Ford told The Liberal that herself and her family simply love the Christmas spirit:
“I just love putting up my Christmas tree, it really puts me in good form and it motivates me to get going for Christmas”.
The friendly and festive lady concluded said:
“I just love the whole Christmas Season. Myself and my 21-yr-old daughter have already started our Christmas shopping. The countdown is definitely on!”

思い出したのは２０１３年の１１月初め、ドイツのブレーメンを訪れた時、街はクリスマスモード（商戦）に入っていると感じましたし、その次に訪れたリューベックでも同様でした。私はクリスチャンではありませんが、多文化共生の観点で、且つ、様々な文化・伝統を知ることは大切なことでしょう、寛容性と共に（排他的になることだけは避けたいですね）。
ちなみに、アドベント・カレンダーの多くは１２月１日からだと思いますが、これが始まると、名実ともにクリスマスへのカウントダウンです。
