In the mid of this March, beside a signal for train, an oriental Greenfinch watches around. Other finches are busy to have their blunch.

The March is a month when there are so few things to eat for birds. They come to the side of the railroad to look for their seeds in the dead weeds.
In the April their visiting to railroad less and less, and in the very warm May I rarely find them only with listening their happy and beautiful singing sounds.

When I came there, in this railroad area of the Hachiko line, I could only listen the beautiful songs of unknown birds. Sometimes, I found birds on a railroad electric cable at the distance, thirty or fourty meters awy. They looked almost black. I took some pictures. Their colors were almost black.
In the winter, they have often appeared in the railroad. Day by day, the amount and kinds of their nouriture have gotten shorter and shorter. At last they came near me in the six or ten meters and I could identify them and could take some pictures. Sometimes in some condition and in some distance, they look almost black. But oriental greenfinch is a beautiful bird and especially they have great voices and good singers. I love them.
