上海の路線バス

先週水曜日午前９時にパスポートの再発給を受け、その足で上海に舞い戻ってきた。一件落着であるが失くしたパスポートはいまごろどこでどうしているのか？　悪用されなければいいが・・・・　上海では５月から世界博覧会が開催されるので、それに合わせて新しい地下鉄の路線が矢継ぎ早に開通している。東京を追い抜いて世界一の路線網が整備されることになりどこへ行くのも便利だ。タクシーも初乗りが１２元（１６０円）と安いのでこれまた有効な移動手段である。ただし通勤ラッシュ時に雨が降ったりするとタクシーの奪い合いになる。中国人と競争して所詮勝てるわけがない。それ以前に空車がやってこない。そんなとき頼りになるのが路線バスだ。上海の街には縦横無尽にバスの路線が走っていて、料金はたったの２元（２７円）。これを利用しない手はないと考え、昨日路線バスに乗車してみた。バス停間の距離は日本より長く、運転は荒っぽい。逆にいえば目的地に着くのは早い。上海の道は一方通行が多くて上りと下りの路線が違う道を走るので、終点まで行って逆ルートで戻ってこれるかどうかわからないがそんな時はタクシーで戻ってくればいいのた。街のキオスクでバス路線図をゲット。うれしいことにプラスチックのシート状の虫眼鏡ついている。これを使えば細かい字も読める。　しばらくの間バス路線を覚えることで暇な時間を過ごせそうである。
