I thought then yellow was of the uniform of the train watch guard. But there were yellow caps at end of pipe, also. lol.

The Technical Center radio never stop anouncing, "Yamate sotomawari sekkin, yamate sotomawari (or uchimawari) sekkin" with the synthetic woman voice and "Yamaka nobori sekkin, yamaka nobori ( = up) (or kudari= down) sekkin" with the man voice.
"Yamate sotomawari sekkin" means " Comes the train of Outside Yamate line (or Inside Yamate line)" "Yamaka" means Yamate kamotsu (= freight)line. Originally the Yamaka was for only freight train, but now it is used for Saikyo line passenger train. Now on the Yamaka line I can see one or two freight train in the day time.

The Yamate line runs in circular around the center of Tokyo. So, on the outside line, train runs Tokyo-Shinbashi-Shinagawa-Shibuya-Shinjuku-Ikebukuro-Ueno-Akihabara-Kanda-Tokyo. On the inside it goes round in reverse.

The call of the TC radio keeps for about three minutes. On the both line, train runs within three minutes. So the radio would never stop crying...lolol
