So he brings up some valid points, but he shoots himself in the foot with “saving face”, “guests”, and a few other points in the article that beg to be criticized.

I see this whole article as a cleverly planned advertisement for his business aimed directly at native English speaking males with mediocre Japanese language skills and a very little time in Japan.

My advice: if you need professional counseling, find someone who at least has the balls to advertise out in the open rather than trying to hide behind a poorly written newspaper article.

Talking about Debit and his articles on Japan Times?

Assange's mother: Australia puppet govt aided US persecution of Julian (EXCLUSIVE)
Get short URL email story to a friend print version
Published: 20 June, 2012,

Then, once Julian had been detained in Britain for seventeen months, she has continued to refuse to question him either at Scotland Yard, or the Swedish Embassy, and my son says the reason for this is that once he’s questioned, then they have to either let him go or charge him, and obviously they have no evidence to charge him. That’s why they’re not questioning him, and people who have studied this case believe it is nothing more than a holding case for a US extradition.
RT: Let’s now talk about the reaction to this in Canberra, In Australia his home country. Earlier Julian said he was abandoned by his own country, so what reaction would you like to have seen from Canberra at this point?

CA: Well unfortunately we have a puppet government in Australia, it’s run by the US, but I would have liked to have seen the Australian government stand up and have some independence from US foreign policy, and say “no, what you’re doing is persecuting a journalist who has not been charged with anything and under your own first amendment has done nothing wrong.” They didn’t stand up, they should have stood up. They should have protested vehemently to the UK government for its disgraceful display during the hearings.

No money for forced sterilization victims in NC

By MARTHA WAGGONER, Associated Press – 1 day ago
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) ― The first serious proposal to compensate victims of forced sterilization failed Wednesday when North Carolina legislators said they were not approving any money for them. One ardent supporter declared: "At this point, I have lost all hope."
The effort to give each victim $50,000 passed the House, but the Senate never gave the measure consideration. Republican lawmakers in that chamber said the state didn't have the money in such a tight budget year to make up for misguided, decades-old procedures. Legislators also feared paying the victims would lead other groups, such as descendants of slaves, to seek reparations.
"If you could lay the issue to rest, it might be one thing. But I'm not so sure it would lay the issue at rest because if you start compensating people who have been 'victimized' by past history, I don't know where that would end," Republican Sen. Austin Allran said.
Most states had eugenics programs but abandoned those efforts after World War II when such practices became closely associated with Nazi Germany's attempts to achieve racial purity. Scientists also debunked the assumption that "defective" humans could be weeded out of the population.
North Carolina stood out because it actually ramped up its program after the war.
Between 1929 and 1974, North Carolina forcibly sterilized about 7,600 people whom the state deemed "feeble-minded" or otherwise undesirable. Many were poor black women.
A group set up to help North Carolina victims estimated up to 1,800 were still living, though it had only verified 146 people.

West Memphis 3 mom sues to see murder evidence

It’s been 19 years since Pam Hicks lost her son in a grim triple murder that is still talked about today. But in the latest episode of the infamous West Memphis Three case, Hicks is suing the police to see evidence they’ve kept from her since 1993.

Little Rock’s KTHV News reports that the state’s Rights of Victims of Crime Act reads that, in instances of crimes such as the one against Branch, "The responsible official shall promptly return the property to the victim when it is no longer needed for evidentiary purposes, unless it is contraband or subject to forfeiture."
Authorities argue that it’s just not possible, though. In Hicks’ last appeal to the City of West Memphis, officials responded that the same legislation is not applicable if evidence was “retained by a law enforcement agency following a conviction for a violent offense.”
“In accordance with A.C.A. §12-12-104(b), following any conviction for a violent offense, the physical evidence is required to be permanently impounded and securely retained by the law enforcement agency."

Voloyshn said the BBC had not answered the questions of how widespread racism was in Ukraine, and how serious the risk was to fans. He said racism was a problem that undoubtedly needed to be addressed, but said that Britain and other EU countries suffered from it too.

Ornstein accused Panorama last week of selective or "tendentious" reporting and said his remarks that isolated incidents of anti-semitism were not representative of Poland as a whole were dropped because they didn't fit the BBC's "sensationalist" agenda.

Deportee families face unfair attack

Today, parliament will debate measures "to protect the public from foreign criminals who try to hide behind family life as a reason to stay here" (Report, 8 June). Such inflammatory rhetoric ignores the reality of the harm which can be caused when families are split by a parent's deportation. The Home Office has removed parents from the UK without making any proper checks as to the whereabouts and care arrangements of children who are left behind. These children may have been born and brought up in the UK, and are faced with unthinkable "choices". They can either leave behind family and friends in the UK to get on a plane to a country that they have never been to, or be separated from their parent for the rest of their childhood.
