日本語が読めても固定観念の虜になるのだから、英語しか読めないと日本・日本人を読み誤るわけである。
それにしても、
固定観念的シナリオ、雛形先にありきで、アメリカの雑誌に雇われる記者というのは、調査能力もないが、創造性にも枯渇しているのだろうか？

要するに、反原発でない、ことに対する腹いせで言っているのだろうか？だとすれば、在特会が在日いじめと同じレベルで、ますます、反韓デモと反原発デモが似てきたともいえる。

海外留学中の学生に就職説明会

国際的な事業展開を行う企業の間で、語学力と国際感覚を備えた人材の獲得競争が激しくなるなか、大手商社の三井物産は、海外に留学している日本人の学生を対象にした就職説明会を２６日、東京都内で開きました。
この説明会は、海外に留学している日本人の学生が夏休みで帰国するこの時期に合わせて、三井物産が初めて開きました。
説明会では、資源・エネルギー事業に携わっている社員が、海外の大学を来年の夏に卒業する日本人の留学生などに日頃の仕事の内容を説明しながら、語学力や現地に早く順応する能力が仕事をするうえで欠かせないことを紹介していました。
説明会に参加したアメリカの大学に通う留学生は、「海外にいると日本の学生に比べて情報が不足しているので、この時期の説明会や採用を増やしてほしい」と話していました。
三井物産の磯崎憲一郎人材開発室長は、「海外への投資が増えるなか、世界で働きたいという意志を持った留学生は即戦力となる。国ごとに大学卒業の時期は違うので、将来的には就職説明会と採用を１年を通じて行えるよう準備していきたい」と話していました。

三井物産は２６日、海外の大学に通い、夏季休暇で帰国中の日本人留学生や日本在住の留学生らを対象にした会社説明会を東京・恵比寿のカフェで開いた。２９日までの４日間で約４００人の参加を見込んでいる。公務員試験などで春に就職活動できなかった学生も対象になる。
東大などが打ち出している秋入学の議論を背景に、留学生や中途採用にも積極的に門戸を広げ、国籍も問わず通年で優秀な人材を採用するのが狙い。
同社は新卒総合職の採用選考は春の一括採用に加え、夏も実施。留学生を積極採用するために自社で説明会を開いたのは初めて。
今回のイベントは２０１３年春から夏入社の学生が対象で、７月２日までネット上でエントリーシート登録を受け付ける。
海外の大学に留学する大学生らは卒業時期などがずれるため、日本の就活に間に合わないことが多いことに対応する。

I've seen this type of article in the NY times before. In this article, it's Ronan Sato, the graduate of oxford. In a previous article, it was a student from singapore who applied for but didnt get a job in Japan. Somehow we are supposed to imagine that these guys are the most ultimate awesome potential catches and how could the Japanese be so crazy as to not want to hire them. These are just individual people. The case has not been convincingly made based on a few blurbed out factoids that these candidates are super awesome and it's inconceivable that a company wouldnt hire them. Maybe Ronan Sato is not such a hot candidate after all. Care to publish his resume, videos of him interviewing, and so on, so we can have further information before concluding that the Japanese were absolutely out of their minds to not just snap him up instantaneously without "requiring further interviews in Tokyo"? Are we supposed to be aghast at the fact that "further interviews in Tokyo" would have been required for a job offer?
How about writing an article about a particular individual who applied for a job on wall street and didnt get it. Say, a Chinese graduate of beijing university. We can then indict the entire corporate culture of the US and say "international people need not apply for jobs".

Tokyo's government officials will pay immigrants to get out of their country -- literally.
Passed in the spring of 2009, the "Nikkei" Law (Nikkei refers to a Latin American immigrant of Japanese descent) offers unemployed Latin American immigrants $3,000 to leave Japan and return to their home country, Foreign Policy reported. Their family members also get $2,000 for the relocation. There's just one catch: you only get the payment if you promise that you will never return to Japan to work. Not exactly the fairest trade we've ever heard
Australia
the country is still working off of its 1958 Migration Act, which mandates that non-citizens found to be in Australia without proper visas be detained. Furthermore, "unless they are granted permission to remain in Australia, they must be removed as soon as reasonably practicable," according to the country's Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
A report by Australia's Human Rights commission found that the country's child refugees were abused and mistreated while in detention.

「日本は外国人に金を払って国外に追い払っている」というが、帰国したいが、貯金がないブラジル人およびペルー人に航空賃を肩代わりする、ということのどのあたりが「外国人に優しくない」のか聞いてみたい。彼らには日本で失業者として生きることも乞食や犯罪者として生きるという選択肢もある。

Much of this is an American cultural import, with US companies keen to instil in their staff a cultish sense of belonging,instead of the focus being on rights enjoyed by workers of previous generations. Corporate employee songs are a common way of whipping up loyalty (sample lyrics: “We built this Starbucks on Heart and Soul”; “blue box values are the best, I work for American Express” and “Oh happy day…When Ernst and Young showed me a better way…”) Walmart shelf stackers sing a daily devotional chant to their multi-billion dollar corporate employers, the same bosses that methodically discourage union membership. Microsoft boss, Steve Ballmer went viral on youtube with a perspiration-heavy display of corporate passion.
