Kengoの「星屑の空」

数年前、夏の西葛西駅でKengoが歌っているのを聞いて思わず足を引き止められた。それが「星屑の空」という歌だった。切々と歌うのが魅力的に感じられ心にひびいた。名前は売れずとも優秀なミュージシャンてたくさんいるんだろうね。今聞いてもやっぱり好きだな。まだたくさんいい歌あるけど、自分で作った曲というのがいいよね。目も調子悪くて指も痛いけど久々に創作意欲がわいたので英語に訳してみた。下手くそだけどごめんちゃい。外人にも直してもらうよ。

The.tears.shed somewhere far away gathered here drifting on waves

 

Tonight the stars as many prayers twinkle 

Peaceful winds are still far away

 

I wish we lived under the same sky in harmony one another

Here comes the shooting star triggered by the force of peoples wish

 

静かに沈む夕日は海にキスを送る
頬を染めたような空に一番星を見つけた

 

小さく輝く星もまぶしくきらめく星も
一つに広がる空に
寄り添いながら生きている

 

なぜにぼくたちはそれができないのだろう
争いの雲はこの空をゆずらない
遠くで流れた涙が
波に運ばれてくるよ

 

人の祈りの数だけ
今夜も星が輝く
安らぎの風は
今もまだもどらない
一つに広がる空に
寄り添いながら生きたい
