Yesterday, I had a dinner in a French restaurant near Tokyo station with my friends. The restaurant served "Louis Vuitton" as a main dish!!
Fortunately, I could find neither handbag nor suitcase with monogram on my dish. "Louis Vuitton" in a Tokyo French restaurant was porc. The pigs are free-range in a farm near Mt. Fuji.
Why is it called "Louis Vuitton"? In Japanese, the Chinese charactor for "pig" can also be read "ton". Moreover "Louis Vuitton" has a very good reputation and everyone knows it in Japan. Therefore, the producer decided to name it Louis Vui "tton(=porc)", I suppose.
How was the taste? Red meat was soft and tasty. However I am afraid that I can not comment on the porc loin. I can say just it was porc and it was Louis Vui "tton".
