It's a growing problem in America: teenage prostitution. The problem has exploded recently in communities nationwide. Katie Couric reports on a criminal enterprise that's growing larger by the day.

こっちは２００６年の記事だが、６５万人の１０代の若者がお金や、ドラッグのために売春した、という。そして、男子の売春の方が多いそうな。
性病を移される率も高く、さらに、生活のためではなく、欲しいものを手にいれる手段として、売春しているのだろう、と。
ま、その点では、いわゆる援交とにたようなもんじゃない？
日本文化論・独自論にしていた人がいたような気がするが・・・・
それはそれとして、こういうのを日本のジャーナリストがですな、アメリカにいって、１人の少女、１人の専門家にインタビューして記事にすれば、NYTとかCNN並みの記事がいっちょあがり、というわけだ。
それに、被害者が”黒人”が多ければ、人種差別問題もえぐり出す社会派ジャーナリストで、ちょっと義憤を示せば、市民派ジャーナリスト、さらに、お前が変態じゃないか、と思われるような社会学者の”分析”と、さらに、拳銃で脅される少女の話をつけ加えて、病んだ拳銃社会とかいって、アメリカ社会論も付け加えれば、完璧だ。
簡単やないけ。ガンバレ日本のジャーナリストよ。

ということで、これは大切だろう。

NAGOYA (Kyodo) A small theater in Nagoya on Saturday began screening the Oscar-winning U.S. documentary "The Cove" along with a Japanese documentary called "Whalers and the Sea."
The 2009 U.S. documentary directed by Louie Psihoyos critically depicts the traditional but bloody dolphin hunts in Taiji, Wakayama Prefecture, while the 1998 Japanese documentary by Toshiaki Umekawa depicts Japan's "research whaling" and the lives of whalers, including a scene in which a former fisherman talks about whaling in Taiji.
"I want people to see the two films created from different perspectives," said Yuji Hirano, manager of Nagoya Cinematheque.
これは、ある映画館で、コーブとともに調査船側のストーリーの映画も上映するという。これはこれでいいんじゃないかな？ただ、そんなに長いこと観客が座っていられるかね？

２００４年の時点では、高円宮杯第62回全日本中学校英語弁論大会の参加資格は日本人に限られていて、２００４年のJTでそれを批判、昨日見てみたら資格要件が改正されていた、と。
指摘しておいて報われた、と。
当初の要件自体は指摘のように不備がある。それがかわったことも喜ばしい。しかし、有道氏の指摘と要件の変更の因果関係は？・・・・こうした魔術的な思考ができると、人生が案外愉しいかも。

About 650,000 American teenagers have exchanged sex for money or drugs, and boys were more likely to have prostituted themselves than girls, according to the only survey ever committed to the subject.

Those dangers include sexually transmitted infections and drug abuse. About 15 percent of boys and 20 percent of girls who prostituted themselves reported that they had had a sexually transmitted infection, compared with 2 percent of boys and 4 percent of girls in the group who had never exchanged sex for money or drugs.
Also, far more of those who exchanged sex reported using drugs, especially inhalants and injection drugs.
, at the time of the survey, the average number of times that teens reported exchanging sex for money or drugs was just one. Edwards said that that probably indicates the teens aren't using prostitution to support themselves but rather to get something they want but don't really need.

性暴力被害者支える看護職、２４時間態勢で
性暴力被害者の医療ケアに専門的な知識と技術を持つ「性暴力被害者支援看護職」（ＳＡＮＥ）を養成する取り組みが、草の根で進んでいる。
治療時に医療関係者の無神経な言動で性被害者が傷つく二次被害が問題になる中、訓練された専門職による適切な対応で二次被害を防ぎ、被害者の心身のダメージを軽減しようという試み。東京のＮＰＯ法人が海外から養成プログラムを導入、講習などを開いており、これまでに約２３０人が修了した。被害者支援機関などでの人材活用が注目されつつある。
ＳＡＮＥ（セイン）は、Sexual Assault Nurse Examinerの略称で、１９７６年に米国テネシー州メンフィスで女性の人権を守る草の根運動の中で誕生。現在、少なくとも欧米やアジアの７か国に普及し、自治体が認定試験を実施している地域もある。
