123.KY...Japanese culture?

There're some abbreviations in English. For example, A.S.A.P. it means "as soon as possible". Yes, I know. Japanese words also has that. The major example is "KY"(laugh). Although I think it might be a little bit different case from abbreviations(laugh)...

KY is "Kuuki Yomenai" in Japanese. Well, How can I express it in English?? Humm... It's so difficult... Don't you think so??

If we translate a sentence literally, it's "you can't read the air"(laugh). Probably, foreigners can't understand it.. Ummm... if I translate it, It's "you can't understand how someone feels" or "you can't share one's feelings".. What do you think about my English??

And, probably, I think it depends on Japanese culture(manner?). We sometimes don't say directly what we think.. We often have priority to public cooperativeness over our opinions.. Yes, I sometimes do it. I don't know if it's good. But at least, it's sometimes manner to do it. I think it might depend on personal thought, so it's difficult to judge if it's good.

Anyway, I try to ask about it to my English teacher! I want to hear their thought about Japanese culture. They might think it's a little bit strange(laugh).
