都内の大学で水圏環境教育に取り組む学生さんたちの訪問を受けた。黒く日焼けしてキラキラと輝く瞳が印象的であった。
つながりのある環境教育をめぐり意見交換を行った。「学生としてできる限りのことをやっていきたいと思っています。」「学生同士がそれぞれ取り組んでいる環境教育を発表しあう場を作りたいと思います。」と意欲的だ。
日本においてもこうした形で学生のつながりの輪が広がっていることにうれしく思った。
環境省の外郭団体「地球環境研究機構」（iGES）でも，環境人材育成コンソーシアム準備会を立ち上げた。学生たちの活動の輪が広がるよう，学生たちの意欲を高めていくよう，大学，政府機関の大人たちは行動していく必要があると決意を新たにした。
