日本では、錦織君フィーバーが起きましたね。ニューヨークのメディアでも錦織君を絶賛した記事が出ていると、報道がありました。「わぉー、そうなんだ～☆」と思い、会社の同僚が、ちょうど錦織君がワウリンカに勝った頃にニューヨークへ出張だったので、新聞を買ってきてもらいました。でも、錦織君が一面となった記事は見つかりませんでした。多分、新聞の種類がいろいろあって、他のスポーツ紙で書かれていたんでしょうね。
In Japan, Nishikori-fever has happened. Japanese media announced NY's media said Nishikori became one of top players. "Wow, really?", I wanted to know the fact. So, I asked my coworker who had a business trip to NY when Nishikori reached the semifinals to buy a newspaper. But I couldn't find the article of Nishikori in that newspaper. Maybe, the article about him would be in another sports newspaper, I guess.

購入した日が、女子の試合の後だったせいもありますけど。。ま、何にしても、日本のメディアは、日本人選手をひいき目で報道しますよね。現地からの中継だって、一部の好意的なコメントしか日本で放送されないだろうし(^^;)、、実際のところ、どうだったのか分かりません。でも、日本では、錦織君の快挙は歴史的偉業だったことは確かです☆
Unfortunately, he couldn't find a newspaper because it was after women's match?... Hmm., Japanese media tends to be partial to Japanese player very much. And they would air only a good comment to him(^^;).., so, we don't know whether it is true or not. Anyway, what Nishikori did was historical record in Japan, it's no doubt about that☆
