バラックのFAZ紙インタヴューに対するレーヴの反応は？
スカイスポーツの記事では以下の通り厳しいものでした。

"I am extremely disappointed by the manner and content of what he has said - I can not accept this.
『彼のやり方、話した内容には、全く失望した。断じて受け入れることは出来ない。』

"What happens after that, and the decision I make, will depend on this conversation.
『今後どうなるか、どう私が決断するかは、これから持たれる話し合い次第だ。』

"Quite often in the past, we have asked Michael Ballack as captain to address things which he sees critically or differently.

Michael Ballack has issued a damning response to national coach Joachim Low's request that the pair meet in Germany to discuss Ballack's comments in a newspaper interview where he questioned his coach's decisions.
バラックは、代表監督レーヴの批判的な反応に対して、コメントした。レーヴは、新聞インタヴューで、監督決定に疑問を投げかけたバラックと、話し合いを持つよう要請を出している。

Ballack stated that Low had been disrespectful to experienced international colleagues Torsten Frings and Kevin Kuranyi.
バラックはインタヴューの中で、レーヴは国際経験豊富なフリングス、クラニーに対して、敬意に欠ける扱いをした、と述べている。

While Frings was left out of the team for the World Cup qualifiers against Russia and Wales, Kuranyi was left out of the squad altogether against Russia and he subsequently walked out at half-time.
フリングスはWC予選ロシア戦、ウェールズ戦の先発メンバーから外された。また一方クラニーはロシア戦全く出場のチャンス無く、抗議の気持ちから、ハーフタイムの間に、スタジアムを立ち去ってしまった。

Low has been angered that his captain felt the need to vent his feelings in the media before approaching himself and has threatened to strip the Chelsea man of the captaincy.
レーヴは、バラックが彼に直接話し合いを求める以前に、メディアを通して自身の不満を明かしたことに立腹し、キャプテンを解任することもありうる、と述べた。

Ballack told Bild: "The German Football Association will have to arrange it with my employers Chelsea.
バラックはビルド紙に次のように語った：

"I am open to this one-to-one discussion at any time. I am glad that the coach wants to talk to me and I am looking forward to this discussion."

Unsurprisingly national team-mate Frings has spoken of his support for Ballack. The 31-year-old, speaking after Werder Bremen's 2-2 draw with Panathinaikos in the Champions League on Wednesday, said:
"Michael has been around long enough to notice when something is not right. When he feels that something is not going right, then it is his right to speak up.
当然のことながら、代表チームメイトのフリングスは、バラックを支持する発言をしている。31歳のフリングスは、水曜日に行われたチャンピオンズ・リーグ、ブレーメン対パナシナコス戦を、2－2の引き分けで終えた後、記者の質問に答えた：
『マイケルは、長く代表チームに入っているので、何かが間違っている時、それに気付くことが出来る。何かが正しい方向へ行っていない、と感じると、それを言葉に出すのは、彼の正当な権利だろう。』

"Players who have already proved themselves do not get worked up over nothing. Ballack has every right to speak out as captain - he only wants what is best for the team."
『実績を積んだ選手というのは、何でもないことに興奮したり、気持ちを高ぶらせたりはしないものだ。バラックはキャプテンとして、率直に意見を述べる権利を持っている－－－彼はただ、チームにとって何がベストなのか、を望んでいるだけだ。』


どちらの意見が妥当なのか、私には分かりませんが、今回バラック氏は、なぜ言いたいことを直接レーヴさんに言わずに、メディアに向けて発してしまったのか、ここが気になります。よほど腹に据えかねる経緯があったのかなあ。ちょっと普段の冷静さを失ってしまってるように感じちゃうのです。

とにかくバラック氏もレーヴ氏も、頭冷やして、しっかり話し合ってくださいませ。バラック、フリングスはまだまだ代表チームにとって、大切なプレーヤーでしょ、レーヴさん。問題解決の相談相手だったバラックがいなくなったら、あなた、どうするの？追放！などと言ったら、許しませんからね！

FAZ Interview （１）

ドイツ代表チーム内に、なにやら不協和音が生じている様子ですね。バラックがフリングスとクラニーの扱いをめぐって、FAZ紙インタヴューでレーヴを批判したとか。ビアホフとの反目記事といい、ここのところ、不穏な雰囲気漂っています。どうした訳でしょうか。クラニー、フリングスに続き、バラックまでもが、レーヴ批判。早く双方、穏やかに冷静に、話し合える機会を作って、騒ぎを収めてもらいたいものです。

発端となったインタヴュー記事を転載して、テキトーな訳を付けておきます。

The interview:
FAZ:“You had an operation on both feet.How do you feel?“
記者：両足手術を受けたそうですが、具合はいかがですか？

Ballack:“I trust in the doctors.They said,that I will be able to make training again in about 1 or 2 weeks.I have got many best wishes from many people.I was very pleased about that.“
バラック：ドクター達を信頼しています。1～2週間でトレーニングを始められる、と聞いています。沢山の励ましの言葉をもらいました。とても有難く思っています。

FAZ:“Who were these people?“
記者：誰たちからの励ましの言葉ですか？
Ballack:“The Chelsea coach,many team colleagues,some FC Bayern players and Jose Mourinho.“
バラック：チェルシー監督、多くのチームメート達、バイエルンのプレーヤー達とジョゼ・モーリーニョからです。

FAZ:“Has Jogi Löw contacted to you?“
記者：レーヴから連絡はありましたか？
Ballack:“No.“
バラック：いいえ。

FAZ:“Are you surprised about that?“
記者：それは意外なことですね。
Ballack:“Yes,I am.In the past this was different.“
バラック：はい、以前は、こうではなかった、と思います。

FAZ:“Recently Jogi Löw has announced a competition among the players,including the old and experienced players.Then he said,that good performance and achievement would be important to play in the national team.Is there now a rough wind in the national team?“
記者：最近レーヴは選手間でポジションを競わせることを公に表明しています。ベテラン選手達を含めて。また代表チームでプレーするには、良いパフォーマンス、優れた実績が最も大切、とも述べています。現在、代表チーム内では、厳しい風が吹き荒れているのでしょうか？

Ballack:“Basically it’s the right way to make and to have competition.That’s not a special thing but something good and normal for us.But the way of competition after the Euro 2008 is not good.Established and experienced players like Frings,Klose and I were attacked,critizised and insulted in a public way.
Especially Torsten Frings.He was and he is a first 11 player.He is constantly playing on a high level in his club in the B.L. and the C.L.At the Euro’08 he had a broken rib.I know Torsten since the Under 21 team.I hope,he will not resign and retire.“
バラック：基本的には、チーム内競争は良いやり方だと思います。私達にとって、競い合いは、何も特別なことではないし、よくある良い方法だと思います。しかし、ユーロ2008以降の競い合いは、よろしくない。フリングス、クローゼ、そして私のような実績も経験もあるプレーヤー達が、公に攻撃され、非難され、侮辱を受けました。
特にフリングスです。彼はかつても、そして今も、トップイレヴンです。彼は常に、ブンデスリーガでもチャンピオンズ・リーグでも、高いレベルでプレーしています。ユーロ2008の時、彼は肋骨を骨折していました。私は彼をアンダー21の時から知っています。彼には代表から外れてもらいたくないし、引退もしないでほしいです。

FAZ:“Does Jogi Löw want to make pressure on the first 11 players and show the others,that they have a real chance to play at w.c. 2010?Is that not legal?“
記者：レーヴはトップイレヴンに、もっと頑張るようプレッシャーをかけ、その他のプレーヤー達には、ワールド・カップ2010では、君たちにもチャンスがあるぞ、と言いたいのでは？これは、正等なやり方ではないですか？

Ballack:“Naturally,yes,why should I have something against this?Against competition?I’m glad,when the coach demands other players to get and overtake more responsibility.That helps me.“
バラック：もちろん、そうですね。このやり方に何も反対はしません。ポジション争いに反対など、していませんよ。監督が他のプレーヤー達に、もっと多くの責任を引き受けろ、と求めるなら、それは喜ばしい。私だって助かります。

FAZ:“What does that mean for Frings?“
記者：では、フリングスの件は、どういう意味ですか？

Ballack:“Torsten has made 80 international matches in the national team.Another players should be better than him and should prove that during a longer time.Ok,at present Torsten isn’t in the best shape after his injury,but he is still playing at a high level.This is a fact.I feel he can’t win this competition fight.“
バラック：彼は代表として、国際試合に80回出場してきました。他のプレーヤー達は、彼よりレベルの高いプレーをしなければならないでしょう。そして長い時間かけて、彼よりも優れている、と証明すべきです。そうですね、今現在、怪我から復帰以降、彼はベストな状態ではありません。でも、今でも高いレベルでプレーしていることは確かです。ただ、ポジション争いに勝つのは難しい、と私は感じます。

FAZ:“Do you think,Jogi Löw doesn’t plan anymore with Frings?“
記者：レーヴは、フリングスを今後、代表へ呼ぶ考えは無い、とお考えなのですか？

Ballack:“I don’t know.But if he doesn’t want Torsten anymore,he should talk to hin in a honest way.As an experienced national team player you can expect respect and loyality.
I’m thinking about a case of the past:Olli Kahn.The competition with Jens Lehmann before w.c.’06 he couldn’t win.Or the competition Wörns vs.Metzelder.Wörns was constantly playing in his club,Metzelder was sitting on the bench.I hope,that I’m not right with my fears concerning Torsten.“
バラック：それは分かりません。しかし、もしレーヴが、もうフリングスは代表ではいらない、と考えるなら、彼に率直にそう話すべきです。経験豊富な代表チームの選手として、敬意と誠意をもって、接するべきです。
過去の事例を思い出していたのですが、例えばカーンの場合。ワールド・カップ2006前、彼はレーマンとの競い合いで敗れました。あるいは、Wornsとメツェルダーの争い。Wornsは常時、所属クラブでプレーしていましたが、メツェルダーはベンチを温めていました。同じことがフリングスにも起こるのではないか、と恐れています。

FAZ:“Frings says,he is thinking about to resign and retire.“
記者：フリングスは、代表辞退、引退を考えている、と口にしてますが。

Ballack:“I would regret a retire of Torsten,only if he thinks not to be needed anymore.“
バラック：彼の辞退をとても残念に思うでしょう。もし彼が、自分はもう必要とされていない、という理由だけでそうするならば。

FAZ:“But during the quali match vs.Russia the team was playing well without Frings and instead of him Hitzlsperger.“
記者：しかし予選のロシア戦、フリングスの代わりにヒツルスぺルガーがプレーして、チームは良い試合をしましたね。

Ballack:“The match vs.Russia was the hardest and most difficult and important match for us after Euro 08.Torsten was thinking about,why he wasn’t allowed to play.The next match vs.Wales the same.“
バラック：ロシア戦は、ユーロ2008後の試合の中で、最も厳しく、最も困難で、そして最も大切な試合でした。フリングスは、なぜ自分は出してもらえないのだ、と考えていました。次のウェールズ戦も同様でした。

FAZ:“What about Kevin Kuranyi?“
記者：クラーニーについては、どうなのでしょう？

Ballack:“His reaction to disappear from the stadium was not acceptable.But I can understand Kevin’s frustration.He recognized that it was and would become difficult for him to play inspite he was playing C.L. every year and he is first 11 player in a top club.He has proved in the club and the national team that he is able to score many goals.These things are important to be allowed to play in the national team.In the past,many years ago, you had to prove your playing skills and abilities over many seasons to be invited to the national team.“
バラック：彼のとった行動、スタジアムから行方をくらましたことは、許されることではありませんね。しかし私は、かれの不満は理解できます。彼は毎年チャンピオンズ・リーグでプレーしていたにもかかわらず、代表チームで出場のチャンスが無かった、これからも無いかもしれない、と気付いた訳です。彼はトップクラブのトップ選手ですよ。彼は、クラブでも、代表チームでもゴールを沢山決められることを、証明してきてます。これは、代表チームでプレーするための、重要な要素です。過去においては、もう何年も昔のことですが、代表チームに呼ばれるには、何シーズンにも渡って、自分の技と能力を示さなければなりませんでした。

FAZ:“We have the impression that you were not supported public by Jogi Löw the last time.....During the dispute between you and Olli Bierhoff,Jogi Löw seemed to be on the side of Bierhoff.“
記者：あなたは、公にはレーヴの支持を得てなかった印象があるのですが・・・以前、あなたがビアホフと意見の食い違いから、口論していた時です。あの時、レーヴは、ビアホフ側についていたようですが。

Ballack:“I don’t want to comment this.“
バラック：そのことには、触れたくありません。
