チェルシーの内輪もめについて、バラック選手は
何かコメント出してないのかな、とサイトを巡っていたら
ドイツ人ファンの方のサイトでこんな写真を見つけて、クスッと笑っちゃいました。

TERRY SET TO SIGN NEW CONTRACT

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has revealed John Terry is
close to signing a new contract with the club and expects
the deal to be done 'in the next few days'.

But Mourinho revealed the Blues and England skipper
had wanted an assurance the Portuguese coach
would be at Stamford Bridge next season.

He has been called a dressing-room snitch, a destabilising influence and the cause of the political infighting that is undermining Chelsea, but in an interview with The Times last night, the Ukraine forward began his fightback. “I am being made a scapegoat for things that have nothing to do with me,” he said.

After such a trying baptism in England, it would be understandable if he was to decide that he has had enough and headed back to the familiar surroundings of Serie A, but Shevchenko insists that he will stay at Chelsea, despite the traumas of the past six months.

There were further allegations from Italy this week that Shevchenko had proposed the recruitment of Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of AC Milan, in place of José Mourinho but the striker is adamant that he has no communication with Abramovich beyond that of the rest of his team-mates.

Abramovich believes that Grant can help Shevchenko to find his best form but Mourinho regarded the proposal as unwelcome interference.

It was an afternoon of smiling for the cameras as Chelsea launched a charity initiative yesterday, but the battle between the strong wills of Roman Abramovich and José Mourinho was always likely to intrude on that happy scene. The tone darkened when the manager was questioned about his future and he responded by demanding both “big respect” and support from his employers, with the obvious inference that they have been lacking.

The little-known Grant is not the only cause of friction, with Mourinho also annoyed by a lack of funds in the transfer window, but he claimed that he would stay in London if he was allowed to run the first-team squad as he sees fit. That requires a climbdown from the owner. The question now is whether the directors at Chelsea, who know that it will not be easy to replace Mourinho, can broker peace. Mourinho said that he would see out his contract, which expires in 2010, but there was a significant “if”.

José Mourinho’s future at Chelsea has been placed in further doubt after it emerged last night that Avram Grant has told friends that he will be joining the club this summer. Grant, the former Israel head coach, has been identified by Roman Abramovich, the owner, as the man to improve Chelsea’s fortunes on the pitch and belatedly get the best out of Andriy Shevchenko, their badly misfiring £30 million striker.

3年ほど前、エージェントの紹介でロシア人オーナーと知り合ったグラント氏は、

Grant is rumoured to be wanted by Blues owner Roman Abramovich to replace Steve Clarke as Jose Mourinho's right-hand man.

イギリスのタブロイド誌のバラック選手を扱った記事に
ドイツのファン達は、怒り心頭に達しています。
私も、こんな訳無いでしょう、と思って読んだ、ことの発端となった
記事は以下の通り。

you just report in a negative way and affront to him
in an unhuman manner.
The fact that you write these articles is not acceptable.

The critics from you are not fair and for no reason.
For example Ballack has scored a very important goal against Bolton.
Beside that he scored 3 other goals and almost a fourth
one which has been corrected as an own-goal.
Furthermore he needs a little time to get into the team.
This doesn’t happen within a day as we all know.
Chelsea generates a star-ensemble in which it is much more tougher
to become a starter or at least to play continously.
At Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Kaiserlautern
he always scored very important goals. Now he is looking for
a new challenge at Chelsea London and not for discrimination!

It is unhuman to to discriminate the same person almost every day.
Me and other fans from Michael Ballacks website discuss about him
every day in the forum. This year we made him a christmas present
by writing down a lot of nice poems and textures to make him happy again!

The English press will never stop publishing crap
nor will it stop making up "news" so they can sell papers.
London has so many tabloids and broadsheets
that they are in great competition to sell papers,
and sometimes (well, often) it means that they make up stuff
or pay money for stories so they can get a broader readership
and make more money.
イギリスには嘘八百を書き立てる、タブロイド誌、大衆紙が多くあって
売り上げを伸ばすためにニュースをでっち上げることが

It's unbelievable how opinions or unsubstantiated rumors
are printed as "fact." The Sunday Times article by Duncan
is a prime example. He went on about Drogba and Essien's desire
to complain about Ballack to Mourinho and other alleged discontent
by senior players about Ballack.

The Sunday Times誌の Duncan氏による記事など、その最たる例ですね。

Nowhere did this journalist provide a quote or substantiation
of any sort. Here in the U.S. sports press it is unheard of
to publish any rumors without a quote.
While often the source wants to be anonymous is
quoted as being "an insider at the club" or a "source close to the club"
a direct statement is always provided.
でも、この記者はそれを事実だと実証するものを、一切載せていませんよ。
ここアメリカでは、スポーツニュースの中で、具体的な人物の言葉を
引用することなしに、噂を掲載することはありえません。
情報元が名前を伏せたい時は、『クラブ内部の人物』とか

Even if someone is quoted, other papers who did not have journalists
in attendance at an interview, publish the quotes and attribute
some type of negative opinion to them.

その言葉にネガティヴな主観を加えてしまいます。
For example, Ballack said that Chelsea's (and EPL football, in general)
tactics and style are different from Germany's (fewer longer passes, etc.
that suit his style). This is obvious and was said matter of factly.

Then other papers picked it up and said that
Ballack was blaming Mourinho for his poor performance.
The word "blame" was never used, but the papers wanted something
a little more sensationalistic, so they created it.
他のいくつかの新聞がこの言葉を取り上げ、バラックはモウリーニョの監督采配の
不十分さを非難した、のように掲載する。『blame＝非難する』などという
言葉は一度も使われていないのに、こうした新聞は何か刺激的な味付けを

What's particularly bad is that foriegn papers rely on the English press
for their information and within a week, the world sees
biased　information published by the yellow press in England.
It's a shame, but it's not going to change.
悪いことに、外国の新聞社は、イギリスの報道を頼りにしているので
一週間もしないうちに、世界中がこうした偏見に満ちた
イングランドの大衆紙の情報を、目にしてしまう。
残念で恥ずべきことですが、状況は変わりそうにありません。

ばかばかしいことなのでした。
試合の様子を自分の目で見て、自分で判断。

I know this letter came up as a proposal
driven by a german fan in german forum.
So, just only for that reason, it deserves full support.
先程の新聞社宛の抗議文は、そのままバラックさんのドイツ版公式サイト
フォーラムに掲載されたそうなのです。これに、アルゼンチンの
投稿者が、こう寄せています。
But we can´t escape facts. English press is what it is,
and Micha is not the first and will be surely not the last “victim”
of it.　 It´s an industry itself, I´m writing from the other side 　
of the ocean , but everyone in this world knows it.

How did you get used to the life in London?

Ballack:”The time was running very fast:
We must play a lot of matches,　first the search for a house,
then the school beginning of my sons.　I didn’t realize that
already a half of a year has gone.
バラック：時間が経つのが本当に速かったんですよ。
たくさんの試合に出場するし、家探しに、息子達の学校の準備。
もう半年が過ぎた、なんて気付かない位に速かったですね。

When I have free time,　
I go for a walk with my family through the city.　
London is so big,　we don’t know where to start looking.　
暇ができるとロンドン市内を家族と一緒に歩きます。ロンドンは
大きな街ですからね、どこから見たらいいのか、分かりませんでしたよ。

We live in Wimbledon,　we must expect one hour to drive into the city
and one hour driving back to home.
Mostly we go for a walk in Chelsea and South Kensington.
We walk along the Kings Road or Fulham Road.
We like Chelsea very much.”

Ballack:”It works well.　
Only at first I drove on the wrong　side.　Fortunately only 15m.
Then I noticed that.　It’s also dangerous to cross the street
and you are used to look first to the left side.”

間違った側を走ってしまったけど、幸い15メートル行って気付いたから。
それから通りを渡る時も危ない。
最初に左側を見る習慣が、身についてしまってますからね。

Do you also use bus or subway,　concerning the terror attacks?
バスや地下鉄も利用しますか？テロを心配しながら。

Ballack:”I’ve driven with my sons in the subway to the city.
I’m not afraid of this.”
バラック：息子達と地下鉄でロンドン市内へ行ったことがありますよ。
テロを恐れて地下鉄に乗るのが怖い、ということはないです。

Do you enjoy the anonymous life in London?
ドイツとは違って、ロンドンでは名が知られていない、
外出しても目立たない、そんな生活を楽しんでらっしゃいますか？

Ballack:”Many people recognize me and ask me for an autograph
and for taking photographs.　It isn’t calmer than in Munich.
In Munich the people were more on distance.　They recognized me,
but it was astonishing,　that they didn’t speak to me.”
バラック：沢山の人達が僕に気付いて、サインを求めたり、
一緒に写真を撮ってと頼んだりしてくれます。
むしろミュンヘンの方が静かでしたね。
ミュンヘンでは僕に気付いても、驚くけれど、遠巻きにしていて、

Have you heard nasty remarks of opponent fans?

Ballack:”No,they are not aggressive ,　but always friendly.
They ask me for autographs and mostly they say:
’It’s nice,　that you are playing now in the E.P.L.!
But I’m an Arsenal supporter!’ “

彼らはそんなにケンカ好きな人達じゃないですよ。
いつも人懐こくて、サインを求めてきます。で、たいてい、
『プレミア・リーグによく来てくれたよ。ボクはアーセナルのファンだけどさ』

The english media made nasty remarks about you.

イギリスのメディアが、意地悪いことを書き立てていますね。

Ballack:”No,　in London there is a lot of yellow press.
They mostly write unrealistic things.　
FC Chelsea is not loved by the english media.
One can notice that the newspapers want a new english champion.
They also often write about money,money,money concerning Chelsea.”
バラック：いいえ。ロンドンには、あること、ないこと扇情的に書き立てる
タブロイド誌が沢山ありますから。殆どが非現実的なことを書いてます。
チェルシーはイギリスのメディアには好かれていないみたいですね。
新聞を読むと、チャンピオンが交代することを望んでいるように読み取れます。
それにチェルシーにまつわるお金、の記事がとっても多いでしょ。

Are you playing more aggressive in England?
21試合に出場して、イエローカードを5枚、レッドカード1枚ですね。
イギリスでは、より攻撃的にプレーしているのですか？

Ballack:”To play aggressive is part of my kind of playing.
In german bundesliga there are much more free kicks,
when you are touching an opponent and he’s falling down.
バラック：攻撃的なプレーが僕のプレースタイルだけど
ブンデス・リーガでは、相手にタッチして倒した時は
もっとフリー・キックが与えられてましたね。

In England fighting is very important.
The spectators want to see tacklings.
They are already cheering when a corner is the result of the tackling.
The spectators want to see action.　
イングランドでは戦う姿勢がとても大切で、観客もタックルを見たがっています。
タックルしてコーナーを与えても、観客はいつも、かっさいして応援しますよ。
観客達が見たいのは、戦闘的なプレーなのですね。
It’s unimportant whether things are successful or not.
攻撃が上手く行こうがなかろうが、それは大事な問題じゃない、ということ。

Because of the high speed of playing,　there are much more mistakes
than in other leagues.　But it doesn’t matter.”
プレースピードがとても速いので、他のリーグに比べると、ずっとミスが多いけど
それはあまり問題じゃないんです。

ドイツ語が少しでも聞き取れるといいのにな。

MB公式サイトでは、年末の（12/31)ドイツ新聞、Die Weltの記事を
英文に要約してくれているファンがいました。
内容は：

（イエロー5枚累積で、1月2日のアストン・ヴィラ戦は出場できないので
休養できるのかな、と思っていましたが・・・）
新年1日から、控えの選手達と、チーム練習に参加、とか。
メディアの批判には、『たたかれない選手なんて、いないよ、』とか。
30歳のお誕生日には、チームメイト全員に祝ってもらった、とか
移動の時は、シェフチェンコといつも一緒、とか。
イングランド選手の中では、テリー、ランパードなどが
大切な選手たちだ、とか。プレミア・リーグの雰囲気の違い、とか。
好奇心に溢れているので、分からないことは、すぐに質問する、とか。

いろいろ多岐に亘ってお話ししていて面白いです。

現在、学習メモ(36)、MB（これ入れて34)。2ポイント差か～。

トップに追いつきそうで、追いつけないか。
