モウリーニョの、チーム残留の確約を求めたようですね。

TERRY SET TO SIGN NEW CONTRACT
テリー選手、契約更新の方向へ

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has revealed John Terry is
close to signing a new contract with the club and expects
the deal to be done 'in the next few days'.
モウリーニョが明かしたところでは、テリーの契約更新は間もなくで、
ここ数日内という見込み。

But Mourinho revealed the Blues and England skipper
had wanted an assurance the Portuguese coach
would be at Stamford Bridge next season.
チェルシーとイングランド代表のキャプテンであるテリーが、球団に対して
モウリーニョが次シーズンも残留する、という確約を求めたそうで
モウリーニョ自身がそれを明かした。

Mourinho said: “John is almost signing a new contract.
If he hasn’t then he is doing that in the next few days.
『ジョンは契約更新をするところだ。もしまだなら、ここ数日の内に
契約にサインするだろう。』とのこと。

“But, when he says it would be very difficult for him
to play with another manager in his career and
he would like to do it with me until the end of his career,
it is because he accepts my philosophy as his.
『彼は、プレーヤーでいる限り、他の監督と組んでプレーするのは難しい。
選手としてのキャリアが終わるまで、私のもとでプレーしたい、と言っている。
つまり、私の考え、戦略を、彼は自分のものとして受け入れているからだ。』

“He feels comfortable with the work we do.”

But when asked whether Terry had questioned him outright
whether he would be at the club next season, Mourinho replied:
“Yes. My answer was ‘I think so’.

ズバリ尋ねた時、『私の答えは、そう思うよ』だった、そうだ。

Terry returned to full training this week and,
although he still has some way to go to get back to full fitness,
he could have an outside chance of returning against Blackburn Rovers
in the Barclays Premiership on January 31.

The rift at Chelsea appeared to be growing still wider last night
when Didier Drogba, the club’s leading goalscorer, said that
he would consider following suit if José Mourinho leaves
Stamford Bridge for another club this summer.

and does not plan to return to London at the weekend.
