Rescue Line の被災者はボールですが、2024ルールでは「重心が偏芯したボール」になりました。　

2.10.2. A victim represents a person and is in the form of a 4-5 cm diameter sphere with an off-center center of mass and a maximum weight of 80 g.

その方が、転がらなくて良いのですが・・・そんなボールをどのように手に入れるのか（または自分達で作らなければならないのか）が疑問でした。

しかし、レスキューのコミュニティサイトに、被災者の作成方法が掲載されました。

（この通りに、作りなさいと言っている訳では無く、作成方法の１つを紹介しているだけのようです。）

Introduction
Dear RoboCuppers, as a part of the 2024 rule changes, we re-clarified victims to be spheres with an off-center of mass.

親愛なるロボカッパーの皆さん、2024 年のルール変更の一環として、私たちは被災者の重心が偏芯した球体であることを再明確化しました。

2.10.2. A victim represents a person and is in the form of a 4-5 cm diameter sphere with an off-center center of mass and a maximum weight of 80 g.

2.10.2. 被災者は人を表しており、重心が中心から外れ、最大重量が 80 g である直径 4 ～ 5 cm の球の形をしています。

This change was made as a response to observations from recent competitions, where victims would roll out of the evacuation zone upon minor contact with a robot. 

この変更は、ロボットとの軽い接触で被災者が救助ゾーンから転がり落ちるという最近の競技会での観察に応じて行われました。

We find this problematic, as teams miss out on a lot of points due to “bad luck”.

チームは「不運」により多くのポイントを逃すため、これには問題があると考えています。

However, we wanted to retain the spherical shape of the victims, to retain some variance, as well as keep the simplicity of, e.g. picking victims up and constructing a compartment for carrying multiple victims to the evacuation point at the same time.

This is why we came up with the idea of offsetting the center of mass of the victims. As a follow-up on this change, we are publishing this short guide on an exemplary simple construction of such a victim.

Keep in mind that this is not a rule that has to be followed, there are many ways to achieve the final result, this is just a suggestion that can be easily executed from easily obtainable materials!

We recommend making the victims from table tennis balls. 

They can be bought from multiple stores and should be available to all RoboCup participants. 

However, even though the standard table tennis ball diameter is 40 mm, the old ones (with a diameter of 38 mm) are still sold. 

卓球のボールで被災者を作ることをお勧めします。 これらは複数の店舗から購入でき、ロボカップ参加者全員が入手できるはずです。ただし、卓球のボールの直径は40mmが標準ですが、古いもの（直径38mm）も販売されています。 

Take this into consideration to fulfill the diameter of the victim rule.

被災者ルールの直径を満たすためにこれを考慮してください。

Next, either cut the ball in half or drill a hole. Then fill it up with e.g. sand or rice. Do not fill the ball completely, less than around ⅓ of the ball should be fine. This is the weight that will keep the ball from rolling around uncontrollably. Tape the ball back up after this.

Finally, wrap the ball in either aluminum foil or black tape, to create live and dead victims. These materials will also slightly increase the diameter of the ball, but since we began with 40 mm, there is a lot of free space for it!

And there you have it, you have successfully made the victims and can start attempting to rescue them! We wish you the best of luck!

ざっくりとまとめると・・・

①被災者には卓球のボールを使用します。

②ボールを真っ二つに切って上下に分ける

③ボールの下側に砂や米を入れる（ボールの3分の1位）

④ボールの上下をテープで止める

⑤銀のテープや、黒のテープを巻く

ということです。

昔、被災者がジュースの缶だった時も、おもりとして「米を入れる」と言う解説がありました。外国人にとって、「手軽なおもり＝米」なのでしょうか？（笑）
