『◆イエス、死と復活を予告する
8:31 それからイエスは、人の子は必ず多くの苦しみを受け、長老、祭司長、律法学者たちから排斥されて殺され、三日の後に復活することになっている、と弟子たちに教え始められた。
8:32 しかも、そのことをはっきりとお話しになった。
すると、ペトロはイエスをわきへお連れして、いさめ始めた。
8:33 イエスは振り返って、弟子たちを見ながら、ペトロを叱って言われた。
「サタン、引き下がれ。あなたは神のことを思わず、人間のことを思っている。」
8:34 それから、群衆を弟子たちと共に呼び寄せて言われた。
「わたしの後に従いたい者は、自分を捨て、自分の十字架を背負って、わたしに従いなさい。
8:35 自分の命を救いたいと思う者は、それを失うが、わたしのため、また福音のために命を失う者は、それを救うのである。
8:36 人は、たとえ全世界を手に入れても、自分の命を失ったら、何の得があろうか。
8:37 自分の命を買い戻すのに、どんな代価を支払えようか。
8:38 神に背いたこの罪深い時代に、わたしとわたしの言葉を恥じる者は、人の子もまた、父の栄光に輝いて聖なる天使たちと共に来るときに、その者を恥じる。」

9:1 また、イエスは言われた。
「はっきり言っておく。ここに一緒にいる人々の中には、神の国が力にあふれて現れるのを見るまでは、決して死なない者がいる。」
8:31 Then Jesus began to teach his disciples: "The Son of Man must suffer much and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the teachers of the Law. He will be put to death, but three days later he will rise to life."
8:32 He made this very clear to them. So Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.
8:33 But Jesus turned around, looked at his disciples, and rebuked Peter. "Get away from me, Satan," he said. "Your thoughts don't come from God but from human nature!"
8:34 Then Jesus called the crowd and his disciples to him. "If any of you want to come with me," he told them, "you must forget yourself, carry your cross, and follow me.
8:35 For if you want to save your own life, you will lose it; but if you lose your life for me and for the gospel, you will save it.
8:36 Do you gain anything if you win the whole world but lose your life? Of course not!
8:37 There is nothing you can give to regain your life.
8:38 If you are ashamed of me and of my teaching in this godless and wicked day, then the Son of Man will be ashamed of you when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."

9:1 And he went on to say, "I tell you, there are some here who will not die until they have seen the Kingdom of God come with power."』
