INTERVIEW(11)

2016年04月30日 12時23分32秒 | Weblog
When faced with difficulty, some people ask others for advice, while
other people try to overcome difficulty on their own.
Which do you think is better?
State your opinion including specific reasons.

I think that overcoming difficulty by asking others for advice is better for two reasons.
Firstly, other people can give you some fresh advice from different perspectives.
Especially those who are close to you are likely to give you high quality advice and solutions
because they know well about your character and circumstances.
Secondly, speed is crucial.
When you want to overcome a difficulty, it's often pressing.
For example, when you face a difficult problem while fielding complaints from customers,
you should get advice from your seniors as soon as possible.
By doing this, you can make your response faster and more efficient.

Which would you like to have, a good life or a successful life?
Tell me the reason.

Personally, I would like to have a good life.
Because I think a good life is a happy life and a good life is a kind of successful life, too.
But, actually, a successful life is not always a good life.
For example, how about Michael Jackson?
His life must be successful but at least I don't want to die of excessive dependence on narcotics.

Your friend commutes to work by train every workday.
It takes about two hours one way and he/she is now thinking
about what to do during the train ride.
Please advise him/her.

Well, if you want to feel relaxed, how about listening to your favorite music?
And if you want to make use of the time for personal development, reading books is the best.
Personally, I used to memorize English words on the subway when I lived in Tokyo.

Do you believe in fortune telling?
Why or why not?

I do not believe in fortune telling at all.
I'll take a typical example in relation to horoscope based on a birthday.
Actually, I specifically know four persons who were born on the same day
of the same year and the four are leading completely different lives.
Simply speaking, it's extremely unnatural that those who were born
on the same day all over the world will have the same good luck and
the same bad luck throughout their lives.

Even a person of eminence cannot avoid angry billows of woes in life.
There is no life without any tribulations.
To be defeated or to be cultivated by the woes -------
therein lies the key to happiness or unhappiness.

INTERVIEW(10)

2016年04月18日 12時10分32秒 | Weblog
Where do you most frequently eat out?
Describe this place and say why you like it.

The place where I frequently eat out is a family-style Italian restaurant
named Saizeriya near my workplace for two reasons.
Firstly, a wide variety of Italian foods are served at low prices.
For only 26,000 yen, you can order everything on Saizeriya's menu.
This restaurant is also famous for its 500 yen lunch menu, which is budget-friendly for anyone.
Secondly, Saizeriya has an Italian atmosphere.
They provide Italian-style background music.
The pictures and paintings on the walls and the ceilings are all suggesting Renaissance culture,
which makes me feel peaceful and pleasant.(レナサンス:サにアクセント)

Where would you go to escape winter?

If I have enough funds, I would like to go to Okinawa Prefecture.
And if I had much more funds, I would visit somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere,
such as Australia and New Zealand.
But actually I don't have enough money,
so I will escape into a large shopping mall this winter.

Well, it's half of a big watermelon as my birthday present when I turned six years old.
