What winter sport do you like?


Well, I used to play ice stating when I was an elementary school pupil.
Actually, I had my own ice skating boots and had taken part in an ice
skating course for kids.
This may be another story, but I met eleven-year-old Midori Ito
at the Ohsu ice rink in Nagoya.
And very kindly, she showed me a double jump only for me.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
It is better to be a member of a group than to be the leader of a group.
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.


I agree with the statement for two reasons.
Firstly, a member of a group can steer the group with less effort than its leader.
Nowadays, an autocratic leader is not accepted, so the leader will have to
democratically persuade every member in making a major decision.
But a plain member has only to persuade the only one leader to steer the group.
Secondly, a leader is always under high stress.
Because a leader is always regarded as a good role model and cannot easily have too much fun.
A simple member is less responsible and can relieve stress more easily than a leader.

Suppose you are on a flight back from a business trip and you are so tired.
A person sitting just behind you is snoring so loudly that you cannot sleep.
What would you do?


I would explain the situation to a flight attendant and ask for help.
If possible, I hope I can change my seat, but if it's not possible,
I would borrow earplugs from the attendant.

Actually, I usually do nothing special simply because of Oshougatsu holidays.
I prepared for my work just as I do on my ordinary holidays.
But during this year's Oshougatsu period, I enjoyed walking in an unfamiliar town.
