やつあたりしない

すべて君が決めたことだ。
君が責任を取る。
人から何と言われようと、君は耐える。
誰のせいにもしない。
やつあたりしない。
非難されたら、反論するか、とぼけるか、無視する。
「男はつらいよ」という通り、誰でもツライ。
「笑う門には福来る」というけれど、笑うのは大変だ。

It was you that decided all things.
You are responsible for them.
Whatever people say about your decisions, you endure.
You never blame anyone for your decisions.
You never get angry at anyone who has nothing to do with you.
When you are blamed, you argue against them, or pretend to be innocent about them, or neglect them.
As it is said that “Men suffer from their duties and responsibilities", all people accept such sufferings.
Though it is said that “Smiling makes you happy”, it is fairly difficult for you to smile as much as possible.

　目に見えない根を
わたしの住み家は道ばたの
アスファルトの小さな
割れ目の中　わたしは
人の足にふまれてばかりいる
栄養不良の名もない雑草です
名もない雑草ではあるけれど
人の足にふまれるたびに
涙こらえて歯をくいしばり
土の中ふかく根を張るんです
いつかくる春の日に
いのちいっぱいの
自分の花を咲かせるために
いまはただ
目に見えない
たくましい根を
育てているんです

　TO GROW MY INVISIBLE ROOTS
I live at the roadside
in the small crack of asphalt.
I am an unknown, undernourished weed
that is always stepped on by people.
Though I am only an unknown weed,
everytime I am stepped on by them,
I try not to cry, and I clench my teeth,
then I spread my roots deeply into the soil.
My purpose is that I will bloom
my full-of-life flowers
in spring days coming someday.
Now I exclusively grow my roots
that are invisible
but vigorous.

《感想》
①相田みつを氏の人生は、いばらの道だった。
①-2　1941年（17歳）教官から嫌われ、軍事教練が「丙」となり、公立校への進学資格を失う。進学断念。
①-2　1954年（30歳）、最初の個展を足利市で開催。独特の書体で、簡潔な言葉を書く作風を確立。しかし、詩も書も、あまり注目されず、不遇時代が続く。
①-3　1974年（50歳）、紀野一義のベストセラー『生きるのが下手な人へ』で紹介され、相田みつを氏が世に知られる。
①-4　1984年（60歳）、詩集『にんげんだもの』出版、人気と成功を獲得。
①-5　1991年（67歳）、脳内出血で死去。
②　彼の不遇は、17歳から50歳まで33年間続いた。光明がさしはじめて10年後、60歳でようやく報われる。
②-2　17歳から、成功（60歳）まで43年間、彼は耐え続けた。
②-3　彼の次の詩句は、実感と思える。「人の足にふまれるたびに/涙こらえて歯をくいしばり/土の中ふかく根を張るんです/いつかくる春の日に/いのちいっぱいの/自分の花を咲かせるために」。
