『鍼は顎関節障害に効果的であるという限定された証拠(Limited evidence that acupuncture is effective for treating temporomandibular disorders.)』Evid Based Dent. 2011;12(3):89. 

「結論：このシステマティック・レビューは、顎関節症の抗筋の緊張を和らげるのと痛みを和らげることについて、鍼が偽鍼よりも効果的であるという限定された証拠を提供します(CONCLUSIONS:This systematic review produced limited evidence that acupuncture is more effective than sham acupuncture in alleviating pain and masseter muscle tenderness in TMD)」 

 

三叉神経痛のシステマティック・レビュー

2010年の『オルタナティブ・セラピイズ・イン・ヘルス・アンド・メディシン』掲載の香港バブティスト大学のＬｉｕさんの論文。

『三叉神経痛の鍼治療のシステマティック・レビュー(A systematic review on acupuncture for trigeminal neuralgia) 』

結果：４つの研究はカルマバゼピンよりも鍼が優れていたが、８つの研究は鍼とカルマバゼピンで違いがなかった。鍼の副作用が、３つの研究で軽いにしても報告されている( Only four trials reported that acupuncture was superior to CBZ, and the remaining eight studies showed no difference between the treatment and control groups. Adverse effects of acupuncture, which were reported in three studies, were mild)。

結論：鍼はカルマバゼピンと似たような効果を、わずかな副作用とともにあらわしているように見えますが、しかしながら、方法論的な質の低さのため、証拠は弱いです。より進歩した方法論に基づく三叉神経痛の鍼治療の研究が求められます(CONCLUSION:The evidence reviewed previously suggests that acupuncture is of similar efficacy as CBZ but with fewer adverse effects in treatment of TN. However, the evidence is weak because of low methodological quality of the reviewed studies. Further studies with improved methodologies are recommended to support the use of acupuncture for TN)

「片頭痛予防の鍼治療（Acupuncture for migraine prophylaxis）」

「著者の結論：以前の研究では鍼の片頭痛予防効果は不十分であった。現在、12の追加実験により、鍼は急性あるいはルーティンの片頭痛のケアに利益があるという一貫した証拠が存在する。真鍼と偽鍼の効果の間に証拠はないとは言うものの、それは重要性を邪魔しない。少なくとも鍼は薬物による予防よりも効果があり、副作用はほとんど無い。鍼はそれを受けようという患者にとっては考慮すべき選択枝であるべきだ（In the previous version of this review, evidence in support of acupuncture for migraine prophylaxis was considered promising but insufficient. Now, with 12 additional trials, there is consistent evidence that acupuncture provides additional benefit to treatment of acute migraine attacks only or to routine care. There is no evidence for an effect of 'true' acupuncture over sham interventions, though this is difficult to interpret, as exact point location could be of limited importance. Available studies suggest that acupuncture is at least as effective as, or possibly more effective than, prophylactic drug treatment, and has fewer adverse effects. Acupuncture should be considered a treatment option for patients willing to undergo this treatment.）」
