私の名前には義と言う漢字が使われています。
この字を使った人名多いですよね。
私が知ってる人で一番古い人は源義朝ですが
その息子の義経が一番有名かもしれませせん。
その他には足利歴代将軍にたくさん見られる字です。
まぁ歴史的も現在もたくさんの人名にこの漢字が使われてますが
では私はどうしてその字が入ってるか？
って言うと
単に父親の名前から貰った
ってだけです。
深い意味は無いと思います。
ただ
この義って字の意味を調べると孔子の儒教に行きつきます。
儒教の五常の教え
これに義が入ってるのです
仁、義、礼、智、信
です。
私は儒教については深い知識はありませんが
義が五常にあるために
若い頃少しだけかじった事はあります。
ただ今となってはその中身についての記憶はほとんど消え去りましたが
義の意味だけは忘れずに脳に刻まれています。
そして父親が意味も分からずに私につけた名前ですが
不思議な事にこの名前の影響を受けて今生きてる
そんな事を感じています。
この義の意味は
“私欲に取らわらずに為すべき事をする事”
ってなっています。
分かりにくいですが反対語は何かと言えば
欲とか利って事になると思います。
つまり欲と利にまみれてると
本来進むべき正しい道から外れてしまいますよ
って事です。
そしてこの話は
不動産の仕事をしてると
実感として分かるのです。
この原理を腐るほど目にする事が出来る
これが私たちの仕事です。
親から財産を相続したら
それにしがみついて生きる
そんな人生になって

本来“義”の意味を知っていれば

これが正しい道なんですが
利と欲に支配されると
その正しい道を見失って
そんな孤独な最期になるのです。
まぁそれでも人それぞれの人生ですから
私たちがどうこう言う話ではありませんが
私自身はそんな人たちをたくさん見てきましたので
自分は絶対にそうはならない
心に決めて生きています。
もっとも親から貰った財産は１円もありませんから
しがみつきようもありませんが・・
そうやって儒教の五常を考えると
孔子って人は本当に凄いですよね。
キリストより500歳も年上ですが
そんな大昔の戒めが
今の時代にも色褪せずに通用する
特別な才能を持った人だった
そう思いますね。
ただ孔子に限らず
昔の人たちの教えは
長く人間社会に浸透して来て
かなり深い意味がある
これは間違いありません。
無数にありますから
そこに深入りしては
逆に今の生活に悪影響になる
そんな可能性もありますから
ほどほどにすべきですが
例えばいろはかるたに真っ先に出て来る
“犬も歩けば棒に当たる”
これ色んな説があるようですが
私なりに解釈してるのは
行動を起こす人はトラブルも多い
って事です。
そして人を使う立場になってからは
何もしなくてトラブルが無い人より
積極的に行動した結果トラブルがあっても
行動した方を評価する
って事です。
社員に対して
“責任は取るから思い切りやれ”
って言えるのは
私なりにその言葉から学んだ事の表れです。
いずれにしても
仕事でもプラーベートでも
行き詰まったら
高いセミナーに行くのではなく
昔の人たちの言葉
ここにはたくさんの宝が詰まってる
これを意識するだけでも
随分楽になるように思います。

美容師のお兄ちゃんが話してくれましたが

そんな事が良くありますから
優しく見える人ほど注意しなさい
って戒めだそうです。
本当かどうか？
