Two in three Chinese companies surveyed are hoping to acquire lowly valued British businesses, according to a new survey.
中国企業の3社に2社は、お手頃価格のイギリス企業を買収したいと考えている、そうな。
One third of Chinese executives surveyed by Deloitte last week said they are planning to make large strategic acquisitions, with a further 29pc in the market for "bolt-ons".
更に29%が「買い増し先」を探して市場に参入しているとし、デロイトが先週行った調査で回答した中国人経営幹部の1/3は、大規模な戦略的買収実施を計画していると述べた。
Nearly all the 23 top-level Chinese executives questioned said technology companies are a key area of interest.
回答した中国人幹部23人のほぼ全員が、テクノロジー関連企業が一番の狙いだとした。
Canal Dowds, head of mergers and acquisitions advisory at accountants Deloitte, said: "It is clear that Chinese buyers are likely to be keen acquirers of UK businesses over the coming years."

"Whilst many other buyers have lost their taste for deal making, the Chinese remain hungry."

Lawrence Jin, Chinese services group partner at Deloitte, said: "Given the depreciation of sterling and low equity values, we expect a significant increase in Chinese backed deals in the coming months."

It comes as deal activity fell to its lowest level in six years in the first quarter.

According to data from Thomson Reuters the global value of mergers and acquisitions dropped by a third to £370bn.

The British government is now ranked as one of the most active players in the M&S market following a string of state bailouts including taking stakes in Royal Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Banking Group.
