call for と call on(upon)

cal for および call on というphrasal verb を頻繁に目にします。　何気なく読んでいましたが、ふとどんな差があるのかなと思い調べてみました。

コウビルドで調べてみると次のようにあり、call for の後ろには物事が続きその物事または物事の展開を要求するの意味。　call on の後ろには人が続き人が何かをする事を要求するの意味です。

call for:　If you call for something, you demand that it should happen.

call on or call upon:　If you call on someone to do smething or call upon them to do it, you say publicly that you want them to do.

その他 call にかかわるよく出てくるイディオムとしては次のようなものがあります：

call a spade a spade

If you say that someone calls a spade a spade, you mean that they speak clearly and directly about things, even embarrassing or unpleasant things.

    *  I’m not at all secretive, and I’m pretty good at calling a spade a spade.

call it a day

If you call it a day, you decide to stop what you are doing because you are tired of it or because it is not successful.

    *  Faced with mounting debts, the decision to call it a day was inevitable.

call it quits

If you say that you are going to call it quits, you mean that you have decided to stop doing something or being involved in something.

    *  They raised $630,000 through listener donations, and then called it quits.

call names

    If someone calls you names, they insult you by saying unpleasant things to you or about you.

    * At my last school they called me names because I was so slow.

call off

    If you call off an event that has been planned, you cancel it

吉野

昨日（15日）桜の名所吉野へ行きました。　吉野へは近鉄阿倍野橋から近鉄電車急行で約1時間半で吉野駅へ着きます。　吉野には下千本、中千本、上千本、奥千本と桜を観賞できるところがあり、今は下千本が満開、中千本がほぼ満開というところです。　奥千本は5月初めまで桜が楽しめるとの事です。　

吉野駅からはケーブル、バス、徒歩で登って行く事が出来ますが、バスで中千本まで上がって徒歩で下って来るのがお勧めです。　途中多くのお土産店や食事処があります。　

また途中、金峯山寺（蔵王堂）に立ち寄ることができます。
