グリーンカレー

８月２日（日）

野菜が美味しい時期なので、夏野菜のグリーンカレーを作ってみた。

外出が儘ならないので本格的なカレーを食べる機会が無い。

そこで、先日、キーマカレーを作ったところ上々だったので、グリーンカレーもトライしたというわけ。こちらも上々だった。

食後のお茶は、勿論、マサラテイで。

It is the season when vegetables are delicious in the summer.

Mrs. Masuda cooked "the Green curry of vegetables".

As we cannot eat out, there is no opportunity to eat authentic curry.
Therefore, following "Keema Curry" of the other day, she cooked "Green curry".
This was excellent, too.  Of course the tea after the meal was "Masala-tea".

朝顔

７月３１日（土）

まあ何と嬉しい事だろう、朝顔初花、二輪が咲いた。

莟が沢山見えるのでこれからは毎朝とても楽しみだ。

　

朝顔の美しさに見入っていると、急に雨が降り出した。

部屋に取り込んで朝顔を愛でながらの朝食となった。

The morning glory which we were waiting for finally bloomed.
The blue of the morning glory shined in our eyes.
While we saw the beauty of the morning glory, it had begun to rain.
We brought a morning glory into our dining room, and we had breakfast.

浦賀水道

７月２８日（水）

２週間ぐらい前の事です。

ただ海を見たいと云う為だけで久里浜より千葉・金谷港往復の東京湾フェリーに乗った。

潮風,潮の香は良し。

久里浜沖のアシカ灯台、昔ヨットでこの付近を航行したものだ。懐かしいな！

なにしおう浦賀水道　多くの色々な船が行き交う。世界一の混雑海峡だ。

今日はラッキー　雲に浮かんだ富士山が拝める。

４０分の航行で金谷港に着岸。裏山は鋸山。 

マドンナと同行二人。潮風,潮の香は良いな！

久里浜沖のアシカ灯台、昔ヨットでこの付近を航行したものだ。懐かしい。

なにしおう浦賀水道　多くの色々な船が行き交う。世界一の混雑水路だ。

今日はラッキー　雲に浮かんだ富士山が拝める。

４０分の航行で金谷港に着岸。裏山は鋸山。

丁度ランチの時間。漁港らしいメニューで”コンロで鮑の踊り焼き””デラックス海鮮丼”

“雲丹いくら丼”。デザートは焼き団子。

食後の腹ごなしにロープウエーで鋸山の展望台へ！散歩のつもりだったが暑くて参った

参った。しかし眺望は素晴らしい、城ヶ島・観音崎・横浜のランドマークタワーまで。

午後４時半金谷港を出港帰途につく。鋸山が遠うざかって行く。

南房総が遠くなる。久里浜港が近かづいて来た。

旅路のおわり。夕焼けだ。

今回は海をしっかり見ることが出来た。１３０００歩の散歩であった。

It was  two weeks ago.

Only for a reason to want to see the sea, I made a round trip to the Uraga Channel 

by the Tokyo-Bay Ferry.

The Uraga channel is one of the most crowded strait in the world.

We came across a large number of ships on the sea.

Fortunately I was able to see Mount Fuji from a distance on the ship.

It was good to be able to see the sea.

ラタトゥイュ

７月２４日（土）

夏野菜の美味しい時期だ。久し振りにラタトゥイユを作った。

出来立てを肉料理の付け合わせにして食べるのも美味しいが

冷蔵庫で冷やしたものをサラダのように食べるのも美味しい。

今日はアンチョビーを加えてトーストしたバゲットに載せて頂いた。

これは美味。超お薦めである。

It is the time when vegetables are delicious in the summer.　Mrs. Masuda made "Ratatouille" after a long time.　It is delicious to eat with a fresh one as the garnish of meat dishes.

Also, it becomes the delicious salad if cools it in a refrigerator.　 I had  put it on the toasted baguette which added an anchovy.　This is so delicious. Super recommended.

今日の御茶

７月２１日（水）

夏の陽射しが力強く眩しい今日この頃は涼しい家うちでの

御茶の時間はゆっくり楽しみたいもの。

主菓子は　ミスターマスダは朝顔で。

ミセスは青楓で。

We want to enjoy the Tea time in the cool room these days that summer sunlight is powerful.
Mr. Masuda drank Matcha with a morning glory-shaped Japanese cake.
The participation person drank  Matcha with maple-shaped Japanese cake.

茗荷

７月１８日（日）

今夏初めての茗荷、随分沢山採れた。

天麩羅、酢味噌和え、味噌汁、糠漬け、薬味　etc,etc,様々に楽しめそうだ。

淡黄色の花も中々宜しい。

二百個位採れそうなので、夏が終わるころまで、食卓に彩りを添えてくれるだろう。

The Japanese ginger (Myoga) which we harvested for the first time in this summer was produced a lot at our backyard.  We are able to enjoy tempura, miso soup, pickles, spice 

and etc  with this Japanese ginger.  We seem to be able to harvest around 200, until 

the time when summer is over.  They will add some color to our dining table.

ミセスマスダのバースデー

７月１２日（月）

今日から、四回目の緊急事態宣言下に。

そんな中、今日はミセスマスダの〇〇歳の誕生日。

　友人や兄弟からの電話、それに外国からのメール等

　嬉しいお祝いが届く。

五十二年前、ミスターマスダが駐在員として赴任したシドニーでの暮らしが始まって

最初に買ったスージー・クーパーのティセットで子供達から届いたケーキで午後のお茶を。

　　

コムハニー（蜂の巣）始め何やかや、ミセスの大好物イタリアやフランスの

クッキーがこれも子供や孫から届いた。

一緒に届いたバースデイカード。

　

マスクを着けたワンちゃんが「今」！！

From today on under the fourth emergency declaration at Tokyo.   Meanwhile, today is 

a Birthday of 0 0 years old of Mrs. Masuda.　The nice celebrations such as the e-mails or 

the telephone from overseas, the friends and brothers.   We celebrated her birthday with 

tea (Susie Cooper set)in the afternoon with the cake, the Comb honey of our favorite and 

the French cookie presented by our children and  grandchildren.  The birthday card reflected 

the present world "The doggy which put on a mask ". 

木槿

７月１１日（日）

裏庭では木槿が咲き始めた。これは「底紅」とか茶人の千宗旦が好んだことから

「宗旦木槿」と言われている。

バカラの花入れに入れてみた。

朝開いた花は夕刻には閉じてしまうが・・・。　

A rose of Sharon(Mukuge)  has begun to bloom in our backyard.   Sotan Senno of 

the master of tea ceremony called this flower "bottom rouge(Sokobeni)" and liked it. 

It is said to be "Sotan Mukuge".   I arranged the flower in a vase of the Baccarat. 

The flower which bloomed in the morning is closed in an evening, but ...

そろそろ終わり・・・

７月９日（金）

あれほど、咲き盛った紫陽花ももう花盛りは過ぎて、少しずつ花色は移ろい始めて来た。

それはそれで何とも風情があって良いものだ。

三つ四つ、写真に収めてみた。

The hydrangeas in full bloom at our garden were over the best season.
The color of the flowers have begun to be discolored little by little.

The flower which faded is good and tasteful however.
I took three four photographs.

バックヤード

７月７日（水） 

雨の合間を久し振りに裏庭に行って驚いた、

茗荷が庭中に群生している。その丈は胸の辺りまでで分け行って行くのも躊躇われる。

毎年かなりたくさんの茗荷が採れるがこの分だと今夏は２００個位になりそうだ。

I was surprised when I went to the backyard after a long absence.
Japanese ginger（Myouga） grows up in high of 80 centimeters in colonies in the backyard.

I wonder to hesitate to set foot in the area.
Considerably much harvest of Japanese ginger than average year, it seem to get  200 Japanese gingers this summer.

月桃の花

 ７月４日（火）

ミセスマスダの短歌仲間のSさんから「月桃の花」の写真が届いた。

「月桃」は沖縄地方特有の植物の様だ。

沖縄へ旅したSさんから「月桃の花」の美しさを聞いたミセスマスダは

暫くして、鎌倉のフローリストでその種を見かけたのでSさんに届けたところ

田園都市線沿線に住むSさんはその種を植え熱心に育て始めた。

それ以来六，七年経つだろうか、この夏始めて花が咲いたと大喜びの御様子、

ミセスマスダも感動の余りその写真をここにUPさせて頂いた。

人の背丈よりも高い大きな株に育って９本の花がついたとの事だ。

　

「月桃の種」

Mrs. Masuda gave a seeds of "the Moon Peach(gettou)" to her poem friend in old days.
The photograph of the "moon peach blossom" arrived from her.  

She took care the plant from seeds and the flower seemed to bloom after 7 years in this summer. It was very impressive.

氷室万頭

７月２日（金）

金沢より「氷室万頭」が届いた。

加賀藩には旧暦六月一日氷室開きを行う習わしがあったそうだ。

それが今は七月一日、神前に「氷室万頭」を供え無病息災・疫病退散を祈願するように

なったとか。

万頭の桃色は花で魔除けを、緑は新緑を意味し健康と長寿を、白は太陽で清浄を表している。

"Ice storage house Cake( Himuro-Majuu)" arrived from Kanazawa.
The Kaga feudal clan had a custom to open Ice storage house(Himuro) on June 1 

in the old calendar.  On July 1 in new calendar, people offered "Ice storage house Cake" 

for the Shinto shrine and came to pray for the health of the family now.
