花見・ランチ

４月１日

今日は花見。花見に続いて昼食。

花見は隅田川畔、昼食は吾妻橋・「もちづき」で”花会席”

友人のＦ夫妻との談笑は時を忘れ三時間を超す。

桜は良い、美味しい食事も良い、友人との時間は更に良い。

 Today is a cherry blossom viewing day. Following the cherry blossom viewing, we had lunch at "Mochizuki" near Azumabashi, where we enjoyed a special flower-themed meal. While chatting with our friends , time passed quickly and we ended up spending more than three hours together. The cherry blossoms were beautiful, the food was delicious, and spending time with good friends made the day even better.

 

お花見

3月２９日

 

近所の三ッ池公園の桜が満開だという情報は入っていたが天候が悪く花見の機会を逸していた。

漸く天候が回復したので雲の合間を縫って花見に出かけた。

残念ながら花は盛りは過ぎていたが十分楽しめた。

I had heard that the cherry blossoms in the nearby Mitsuike Park, which I always go to at least once during cherry blossom season, were in full bloom.

However, due to bad weather, I missed the chance to see them.

Finally, the weather improved and I went out to see the cherry blossoms.

Unfortunately, the flowers had passed their peak, but I still enjoyed it plenty.

一番下の孫娘の誕生記念に植えた桃、二十二年経った。

孫娘も桃の木も、それは、それは大きくなった。

桃の花の美しさにも孫娘の若さにも幸せを享受してきた年月である。

クロッカス、ヒヤシンスに続いてムスカリが咲いている。

春を告げるこれらの花々は、何と優しく、美しいのだろう。

水仙

３月２０日

暖かになって来たので久し振りに裏庭を偵察、すみっこの方に

水仙が咲き始めている。

思い切っていっぱい切って、食卓に飾って愉しもう。

It became warm.  Narcissus（Suisen） begins to bloom in our backyard.

We cut  a lot of narcissus and display them on the dinning table.

椿

３月１６日

 

十月末頃から咲く早咲きの椿や四月初旬に咲く遅咲きの椿、我家には十二、三種類の椿があるが

今、咲いている七、八種類の椿をダイニングテーブルに飾り春を楽しんでいる。

A camellia(Tsubaki ) of the early blooming to bloom from around the end of October and a late-blooming camellia to bloomi in the beginning of April, there are 12~3 kinds of camellias in our arden.

We display seven or eight kinds of blooming camellias on the dining table and are enjoying spring now.

白木蓮

３月１４日

 

白木蓮が花時をむかえている。

長子の結婚に続いて二年後次男が結婚した。

三月、結納を取り交わした折に記念に植えた白木蓮も以来二十八年、

美しい花を見せてくれる。

The yulan of the fence (white mokuren) of our home has begun to bloom.

It is the yulan which we set in memory when the second son got engaged 28 years ago.

木瓜

３月１２日

父と母が好んでめでていた木瓜が美しい。

「寒木瓜」と聞いていたが寒が明けた頃から咲き出して此処一か月ほど咲き続けている。

この明るく美しい朱の色に力付けられる明け暮れである。

The Japanese quince at our garden which our parents enjoyed has begun to bloom.

It continues blooming for more than one month.

We are cheered up in this bright color every day.
