裏の幼稚園との境の辺り、山百合が咲いた。
ここ一、二年、幼稚園の新築工事が行われていて花を見る事が出来ず、
無くなってしまったと思っていたところ見事復活したようで嬉しい。

「父の日」に贈られたピカールの食材、ミセス・マスダが調理し、今日食卓にのった。
どれもみな本格的な味でリッチなディナーであった。

デパ地下で大振りのムール貝を見かけたので、迷わず２ダース買った。
セロリ・タマネギ・ニンニクと共に白ワイン蒸しに。
これだけで特別な食事をしたような気分になるのだから不思議。
We found fresh mussels at the food floor of the department store and bought
two dozen of the mussels without questioning.

浜木綿の白さが清々しい。
房総辺り、浜木綿の群生する海辺を歩きたいなあ。

「父の日」の贈物が届いた。カステラ・ワインオープナー・キイホルダー等々、
またフランスのピカールの食材など心の籠ったプレゼントである。
カステラ、ムール貝のファルシー、骨付きラム、クレームブリュレはミスターマスダの大好物嬉しい限りだ。

長男は海底ケーブルの仕事をしていて、そのケーブルを使ってのキイホルダー。

毎日午前中に抹茶を一服という習慣になってもう４、５年になる。
買い求めた茶碗と自作の茶碗とで飲み比べしている。
笠間の人間国宝松井康成の色違いの土を地層のように重ねる「練上（ねりあげ）」
の技法を使ってミスターマスダも茶碗を焼いてみてみた。

門を潜って階段を上がるとこの小さな花たちが迎えてくれる。
小さいだけに、とりわけ愛らしい。
後ろに写っている大きな壺はミスターマスダの作品、十数年前に
知人の登り窯で焼いたもの。

夏の冷製スープ、ガスパチョとヴィシソワースは大好物である。
暑い日が続くのでまず今日はヴィシソワース。
四十年余り前、ミセスマスダの誕生日、偶々、食事を共にしたアメリカ人の写真家から頂いたそのレストラン名が入ったグラスで頂くのも、それ以後、四十年余の我家のスタイルである。

裏庭には南天が茂っている。その南天の実生なのだろうか、表庭には
知らぬ間に何本もの南天が育っている。
「難を転ずる」というので抜いてしまうのも憚られて大きくなる儘にしている。
リビングルームから良く見える南天は丈が低いので花がつき始めたのが良く見える。

篠原風鈴社の「吊りしのぶ」を楽しんでいたが寿命が来たらしく肝心のシノブ羊歯の
勢いがなくなってきた。それならばという事で庭に自生している羊歯をアレンジして
自家製の陶器で「吊りしのぶ」を作ってみた。勿論風鈴も陶器製のミスターマスダ謹製である。
We enjoyed "Mobil of the fern(Tsuru-Shinobu)" of Shinohara wind-bell company hanging
under the tree at our garden but the life of the fern was gone.
I made the Mobil with pottery and arranged the fern which grew wild in our garden.
Of course the wind-bell attached the Mobil is carefully made by Mr. Masuda.

庭の草花にも夏が来たようだ。
緋合歓が一つ、二つ、咲き始めた、莟が沢山見えるので、
九月ごろまでは愉しめそうだ。

As it shows a lot of buds, we are able to enjoy the flower until around September.
