山吹

４月５日（月）

黄色い山吹の花が咲いた。続いて白山吹も咲いた。もう少しすると満開になるだろう。

この時期、白山吹は楚々とした美しさが茶席の花として愛でられる。  

山吹と言えば「七重八重花は咲けども山吹の実の一つだになきぞ悲しき」

という太田道灌 ゆかりの古歌を思い出す。

The Yamobuki( yellow Japanese mountain rose) bloomed.
The Yamabuki(white)  bloomed successively, too.

They will become in full bloom soon.
The lonely beauty of the white Yamabuki is liked as a flower of the tea-ceremony room.

　

いちはつ

４月３日（土）

我家の門の石段をトントンと上がった処に地植えの「いちはつ」が咲く。

踏みつけられても毎年咲く根性の「いちはつ」である。

It is "Ichihatsu(Japanese iris)" which bloomed in the front gate of our home every year even if stamped..

フリージア＆チューリップ

４月１日（木）

今年も庭の片隅にフリージアが咲いた。二、三十年咲くけれど、増えもしないし減りもしない。

チューリップも咲いた。昨年の球根を植えたのだが、花は小さく、小さくなってしまった。

左の三本は、今年のヴァレンタインに頂いた球根。何とも愛らしい。

球根を下さった方へ・・・。少しクローズアップして。

A freesia bloomed in the corner of our garden this year.  Though it blooms for last 30 years, 

it does not increase and does not decrease.
The tulip bloomed, too.
We transplanted tulips bulb every year, but the flower  became smaller smaller.

 Three tulips on left were given to us at Valentine-day of this year. Very lovely.

桃

３月３０日（火） 

家族の慶事の折にはその都度記念樹を植えて来たが

此の桃は三月生まれの四番目の孫娘の誕生記念。

その孫も先日二十歳のバースデイを迎えた。

In the occasion of the family being glad, we planted a memorial tree each time.
As for this peach, the birth of our fourth granddaughter born in March was commemorative.
The granddaughter celebrated 20-year-old birthday the other day, too.

三ツ池公園の桜

３月２７日（土）

「さくらさくらさくさくらちるさくら」山頭火の句である。

青空に誘われ近くの県立三ッ池公園に満開の桜見物。

花の季節好きな歌は西行の「願わくは花の下にて春死なんその如月の望月の頃」

池の鯉も春を満喫している

今日のお茶は桜の主菓子で。

We went to the prefectural Mitsuike park nearby for cherry tree sightseeing.
It was fine weather and pleasant walk.
The carp swam in the pond of the park and a waterfowl played with water.
After the return, we enjoyed the Japanese sweets with  Matcha tea in our house.

山桜桃梅（ゆすらうめ）ともう一つの花

３月２５日（木）

我家の裏庭に楚々と咲く花「ゆすらうめ」漢字では山桜桃梅と書く。

将に桜と桃と梅が一緒に咲く”三春”である。

もう一つは「姫りんご」ではないかと思う。

いずれの花も大した養生もしていないが律儀に毎年咲いてくれる。

The flower blooming in the backyard of our home quietly is "yusura-plum".

We write the yusura- plum as a cherry, peach and plum in Japanese kanji.
Are the flower to be united flowers of  a cherry, peach and plum?

I think another flower to be "a princess apple~ Himeringo".
Neither flower takes good care of itself, but blooms every year.

トゥールダルジャン

３月２１日（日）

昨年ミセスマスダが８０歳を期に第三歌集を上梓したので

遅くなったがお祝いの会食をトゥールダルジャンで時節柄ごくごく身内で行った。

我々の注文は「幼鴨のロースト　マルコポーロ」この店の名物料理である。

トゥールダルジャン東京で271210羽目の幼鴨を料理したという証明書も頂いた。

昔、我々がパリ本店で頂いたのは何羽目の鴨だったか？

その時の証明書を何処に仕舞ったか見つからない。

Mrs. Masuda published the third poem book taking the opportunity of 80 years old last year.
It became late, we performed the dinner meeting of the celebration in limited relatives in ”Tour d'Argent” today.   We ordered the specialty "roasted duck Marco Polo" of Tour d'Argent.

I had the certificate which ate the 271210th duck in  Tour d'Argent of Tokyo.

What number duck did we eat in Tour d'Argen of Paris 35 years ago?

I cannot find it where I put a certificate away.

小さな花

３月２０日（土）

庭の片隅に咲く小さな花たち。皆、優しく春を告げている。

ブイヤベース

３月１８日（木）

大好物のブイヤベース。ミセスマスダは、十分とは言えないが近くの店で

手に入る材料だけで工夫してして作ったようだ。ガーリックブレッドとサラダ。

そして食した後のスープでのリゾットはまた格別。

Our favorite dish is the bouillabaisse.  Mrs. Masuda made bouillabaisse only with the foodstuffs  which were available in a neighborhood.  The garlic bread and the salad were good, too.
Also she cooked the risotto with the soup of  bouillabaisse.

クリスマスローズ

３月１４日（日）

我家でもここ二十日間位、クリスマスローズが咲いている。

どちらでもこの時期に咲くようだが、何故、クリスマスローズという花名を

持っているのだろう？

A Christmas rose blooms at our garden for past  20 days.
Though it does not bloom in a Christmas season, 

why is the name to be called a Christmas rose ?

城ヶ島

３月１１日（木）

渡し船で対岸の城ヶ島に渡り白秋の歌碑を見物後

城ヶ島公園を散策。道端の土筆が印象的であった。一万一千歩結構歩いた。

一番に北原白秋之歌碑へ。

　「雨はふるふる城ヶ島の磯に

　　　利休鼠の雨がふる」

ここ城ヶ島を詠った歌が刻まれている。

 We went to Jogashima of the opposite island by a ferry boat.  After visiting the monument  of Hakushu, we took a walk through Jogashima Park.　The bud of the horsetail (Tsukushi) which grew along promenade was impressive.  It was11,000 steps .We walked plenty and was tired.

鮑

３月１０日

暖かい気候に誘われ三崎漁港まで鮑の買い出し。

少し高かったが何とか鮑が手に入った。

バターたっぷりの鮑ステーキが食べられるぞ。

城ヶ島公園の散歩も良かった。

As it was a warm climate, we went to  Misaki fishing port to buy the  abalone.

It was slightly expensive, but we got the abalone somehow.
We can eat the abalone steak with full of the butter.
The walk of Jogashima Park was good, too.

もう一つの水仙

３月９日（火）

先日アップしたものとは異なるもう一つの水仙が咲いた。

香りがとても高い水仙で裏庭は其の香に包まれている。

The another narcissus unlike the narcissus which we introduced  the other day bloomed.
The narcissus does the backyard with nice incense.

白木蓮

３月８日（月）

次男の結婚を祝って、その結納が執り行われた三月初旬に

植えた白木蓮。二十六年間、この時期には彼らの家庭を象徴するように

清々しい花を見せてくれる。

The yulan (Haku-Mokuren) which we planted to celebrate the marriage of our second son.
We can see the clean flower to symbolize his family at this time for 26 years.

雛祭り

３月３日（水）

今日は「雛祭」。お茶の時間は、、京都・亀末廣の雛菓子”おあそび”で、

食事はお寿司と蛤のお吸物でささやかな祝いを。

Today "the Doll's Festival."
In a teatime, we took the Matcha tea with a Japanese sweet specially made for  the Doll's Festival by Kame-Suehiro Kyoto.

The lunch was sushi with a clear soup of the clam.
