早いもので、あと２日後には完結のエピ５です。うおーん
このドラマで知りましたが、ヴォクソールってゲイクラブの集まったエリアだったんですね。SOHOは昔から有名でしたけれど、ロンドンの中心で何かと他の用事でも行くことの多い開かれたSOHOに比べ、ヴォクソールというのは小さめのターミナル駅で、ウォータールー駅からイングランド南西部へ走る鉄道が途中で止まるんです。別に回りに何もなくて、強いて言えばOvalというクリケットのグランドがありますが、それだって試合がある時以外は人も出ない。バスターミナルもあるけれど、ハッキリ言って昼間でも寂しい長居は無用のエリアなんです。しかしダニーとアレックスが出会った橋があるようにテムズ川まわりは空気が抜けて空も高く、そばにはMI6。うん、まったく違う世界のふたりが出会って・・・と作家が発想するのもなるほどな～と納得。クリエイティブでない私には発想できなかったけど、納得です。
さて、ドラマも佳境に入ったら会話も込み入って来たので、和訳がんばりました。今回は真ん中らへん、夜の川辺での、出会って少し時間が過ぎた恋人達の会話から、スコッティの心境の告白までです。
（川岸でのアレックスとの会話）
D: Do you believe in soul mates?
ソウルメイトって信じてる？
A:No. Not only do I not believe in them ..it's not even a nice idea.
いや。信じてないどころか・・・感心しない考え方だ。
D:Not a nice idea?
感心しない？
A:That there's only just one other person out there for you.

その人が同じ国にいるという確率はいくつだ？

It would mean almost everyone in the world is with the wrong person.
世界のほとんどの人が間違った人と一緒にいる意味にとれる。
If it's a way of saying, "we're good together", why not just say "we're good together"?
もし「相性がいい」という意味で言うなら、「相性がいい」と言えばいいんじゃ？
But if you mean it literally …
