I always enjoy calm and relaxing time while she styles my hair
and finally get so happy with my new hair style!
A new hair style is indispensable when changing your mood and your total look.
I heard that "Forbes" magazine calls this salon the best salon in Tokyo for foreigners,
and Harpers Bazaar Australia calls Chie the best hairdresser in Tokyo.
She is especailly popular with many foriegn clients.
Chie has worked in London for 4 years and is well experienced with foreign hair.
She also has engaged in editorial work for "ID magazine", "GQ", "FHM" etc.
70% of her clients are foreigners even now working in Harajuku, Tokyo.
I thought of writing a blog on trouble concerning hairstyles
based on stories of some of my friends from UK or other countries living in Tokyo.
It seems that everybody is having trouble finding the right hair salon in Japan.
I heard lots of horror stories which most of them were about coloring....
like ending up with an orange hair or some other color,
while requesting for blonde hair.... so terrible isn't it ?!
My hair dresser Chie is awsome! She's the best hair colorist in Tokyo!
I hear from many friends that her highlight and coloring technique is in the top class level.
Not to mention that she is a good English speaking hairdresser,
experienced with foreign hair and has the right product.
I always enjoy variations of hair styles and new hair colors which she produces.

と言うのも。。。
外国語のTOKYOガイドも最近は優秀で、「Wallpaper*City Guide」なんて
ソニア・パークさんのショップArt&Scienceも載ってます。
確かに、欧米の視点じゃないコンセプトで贅沢なショップは日本ならでは。
高級店じゃなくても、なるほど、と思う外国人のお気に入りスポットは
「ITO-YA」や「TOKYU HANDS」。文房具やデザイン用品だけのビルなんて、
そう言えばLondon, Paris, New Yorkでも見たことないかも。（←私が知らないだけ？）
ところが、東京通の外国人でも困るのが、「美容師さん探し」。
私の生徒さんだったフランス人のMさんも、カラーをしてもらったら
「こんなはずでは」という顔してました。
そうですよね～、日本人だってお気に入りの美容師さんはなかなか見つからないし、
欧米人と東洋人では一般に髪質も好みも違いますしね・・・
私も大昔ロンドンでボブにした時、イギリス人美容師さんそうとう格闘してました。
カットはまあ普通に終わったんですけど、その後の、ブロウドライがね、
私の重くてたっぷり量のある髪が思い通りにならず「こんなはずでは」顔されました。
IT時代でも、カットやカラーまではグローバル・スタンダードはないようですね。
と言うことで、日本人ヘアも非日本人ヘアも操れるのが、
原宿の「Watanabeヘアドレッシング」のChieさんです。
うちでは一家でお世話になったことも・・・
