アシアナ航空「機長は熟練者」　機体異常信号も否定

日本航空の元機長で航空評論家の小林宏之さんは、事故時の天候が安定していて、テロの可能性も浮かんでいないため、「パイロットの操縦ミスか機体トラブルに絞られる」と指摘する。航空機は通常、着陸時に水平面から３度の角度で下降する。事故機は当時、パイロットが手動で機体を操作していたといい、「通常より大きい角度で降りようとしてエンジン出力を絞りすぎ、着陸直前の修正が間に合わなかったのでは」とみる。進入する角度の目測を誤っていた可能性もあるという。

　一方、日航の７７７型機の元機長は、エンジントラブルの可能性を指摘する。２００８年の英国での７７７型機の事故を挙げ、「左右のエンジンがともにトラブルを起こし、やはり滑走路手前に降りた。今回のケースと似ている」と話す。

アメリカ人という民族をもつべきだ、というのだか、ご本人たちの自覚の有無に関わらず、平均的なアメリカ人って、アメリカ人やなあ、という何かをもっているし、かなり、ナショナリスティックだとおもうだが。

But there's a catch - they all seem to do it by becoming post-racial.


Two good examples are Japan and Turkey. Talk to any Japanese person, and he or she will tell you that there is only one "Japanese" race. But look at Japanese people's faces, or do genetic tests, and you find that there is a fair amount of diversity; some Japanese people look like Polynesians, while others look like Russians. But these physical differences are not recognized as constituting "real" ethnic differences.

　これは、おもしろいところで、”人種”というのは、そもそも極めて曖昧な概念なんだか、通俗的には肌の色と目鼻立ちのはっきり度くらいが指標になって、なんとなく分けているのだろうと思う。

　平井堅のように目鼻立ちがはっきりしているタイプは日本人でも、外人っぽい、といわれるが、肌の色からすると、白人ぽいのから、konisikiくらいの茶色系までいて、遺伝子的にいっても雑種であるが、それでも、日本語がペラペラだと、日本人といわれる。デーブスペクターが埼玉県出身と言われた所以である。

　そういう意味では、英語圏の人種差別的な記者たちが、投影するほど日本人は差別的ではない。
　たしかに、出自差別的な輩はいるが、そんなことをいって、同じ基準をアメリカに適用したら、アメリカは白人至上主義国家、ということになろう。

　ただ、世界的傾向として白、黄　茶、黒　の序列を持つ人たちがおり、それを共有してしまう日本人もいるし、また、いわゆる黒人については、いままで社会で共存したことがないので、どうなっていくか、未知の部分はある。

　国際化とかへったくれといいつつも、マスコミの反応が悪く、問題意識もいまいちだと思うのだが、在特会への反応をみると、問題は起きるだろうが、常識的な人々が勝利していくのではいか、と思う。

But all the assimilation and nationalism in the world will be a moot point if large groups of white Americans refuse to accept the new nonwhite immigrants. This seems to me to be the biggest danger, since our current lack of "volksgemeinschaft" seems to stem largely from conservatives' insistence that blacks, Hispanics, and urban liberals are not "real Americans".

　在日認定みたいのは、どこの国の保守もやっているんだね。

That has to stop; conservatives need to do their part in making the newcomers feel like a real part of the team. That means elevating conservative values like hard work and family values and entrepreneurial spirit - which immigrants tend to have in great quantities - above breeding and bloodlines and skin color. Conservatives need to kill their bad habit of pointing at anyone whose race they don't recognize and saying "macaca".

　これが、問題。

　ノア氏のいうように、言語の問題が一つ。

　それと学校。
　民族教育が悪いとはいわないが、それは、家庭やコミニティーでやって、また、イベントなどで交流してもらって、学校はできれば、様々な人種・民族の人がいっしょの学校にいったほうがいい。

　学校ではいじめも問題になるが、しかし、同じことに感動したり、憤ったりする経験が共有できる貴重な場所だ。

　愛国心なんて、自慢できる歴史やテクノロジーがあるから育つものでもなく、愛国心から、祖先の失敗や過ちをすすんで認めることもあるが、　そうした、共同経験、共同交流の位相、コミニティをもつことから郷土愛とか、愛国心とかの基本的なものは形成されるのではないか？


　ただ、この保守の一部の人たちの心無い言葉を常日頃受けるとそうした国に対する思い、というのはうすれるだろうね。


　このブログで脱北者リハナさんを応援する投稿をしたら、何を勘違いしてか、私がリハナさんだと思って、支援の言葉もあるが、嫌がらせのコメントが数多くある。

　もちろん、日本人がみんなこういう人ではないし、大半は普通の人なのだろうが、　北朝鮮出身というだけで、一部の人からでも、常日頃こうした嫌がらせをうけるとへこたれるぞ。
　
　その嫌がらせがひどくなれば、ここは私の属する場所じゃないとして、ここを憎み、また、他に帰属意識を持つ人がいてもおかしくない。

　保守の一部の馬鹿が、日本に対する愛国者を減らしているのは皮肉だね。

Anyway, like I said, I am very optimistic about the new waves of immigrants. I do not believe that they will cause our nation to disintegrate.

　私もアメリカの移民受け入れについては楽観的ではあるし、アメリカの多様性の受け入れはアメリカの圧倒的強さの源泉でもある。

I believe that America is not like the Germany or France or other countries that have struggled with mass immigration.

　ということではなく、アメリカもアイルランドやイタリアからの移民の受け入れには摩擦があった。

　てか、いわゆるアメリカの歴史は、先住民のジェノサイドから始まり、先住民を排除し、黒人を奴隷にし、中国人、日本人を排外的に扱い、日系人を強制収容所にいれ・・・・という具合に、白人の都合にあわせて、侵略し、また、他者を取り入れつつも、弾圧、排外してきた歴史がある。

もっとも、その反面、

外国出身者らを普通のアメリカ人と認めるようになるのも早かった・・・・といっても日系人は、いまでもwhere do you really from　と呼ばれているようであるが・・・・

ただ、多様な人種に開かれた態度である人々も多いことは確かであるし、そのプロセスでアメリカ文化も変容していくのも確かである。

And the signs are encouraging: Even with the percentage of foreign-born residents at an all-time high and the economy still in the doldrums, native-born Americans' attitudes toward immigrants are as positive as they've been since we started taking polls.

　これはいい傾向ですね。


　私は、アメリカ固有の問題とも思わない。地球規模の貧富の格差、そして、先進国の経済の問題から、グローバルな人口流動は不可避であり、日本も同じような問題を抱えている。


　日本も伝統的に日本の伝統を保守しつつも外来人、外来文化を取り入れ、文化をアプデートしてきたわけで、漢才や欧米崇拝ではなく、外来と伝統　をうまくバランスをとって文化を継承していく伝統を守っていくべきであろう、と思う。

　もちろん、黄色がおおいとか、白がおおいとか、国内の多様性のあり方は、国際的には、各国、いろいろあっていい。それが多様性の尊重ということであろう。


　因みに、アメリカの悪い癖はアメリカと同じでないものを馬鹿にする、非難する、攻撃するなどしてしまうことである。

　人気アニメの劇場版第２５弾「それいけ！アンパンマン　とばせ！希望のハンカチ」（矢野博之監督）が公開初日を迎え、原作者のやなせたかし氏（９４）、吹き替えを務めた女優の本仮屋ユイカ（２５）らが東京・シネ・リーブル池袋で舞台あいさつを行った。
　毎回おなじみとなった即興の歌で自己紹介を行ったやなせ氏は「―立てばしゃっくり、座ればバタン、歩く姿は枯れススキ　もしも舞台で死んだならそれが映画の宣伝になる」とブラックジョークを連発。あいさつでも「なんとか今のところは死なないでいるけど、間もなくだね。病院からはあと２～３週間しか生きられないって言われてる」と本気とも冗談ともつかないコメント。
　さらに、やなせ氏の勢いは止まらず。「この前（先月１７日）の完成披露の報知の記事はわずか１５行。俺が死ねば２０行にはなるだろう」とジョークで笑わせた。
　「アンパンマン」は今年でアニメ放送２５周年。節目の年にメーンキャストの声を担当することになった本仮屋は「アンパンマンと同い年。本当に光栄なことだし自慢です」と大感激していた。

　すばらしい！　こんなじいさんになりたいな。

日本で起こっている財政危機とデフレと低金利は、コンドラチェフの「B局面」（衰退期）の典型的な症状であり、欧米もその後を追っているようにみえる。ただオリエントに覇権が戻るとしても、その中心となる中国はまだ政治的にも経済的にも脆弱で、いろいろな不安を抱えている。日本は「終わる西洋文明」と「再興するリオリエント」をつなぐ絶好の位置にいるのだが、「最大の課題はデフレ脱却だ」とか言っている政権には、この問題は見えてもいない。

このフレームはオレみたいな奴には　いい響きがしないとはいえない。長生きしたいな。

A new book says the famed atheist thinker's writing on religion is intellectually sloppy. It gets Hitch wrong

　無神論者の本への反論本への再反論記事のようである。

White begins with some concessions, curiously feeling the need to acknowledge his own qualified atheism by rejecting the notion of a “CEO God” – whatever that means – he then concedes that religious extremism is “still very much a problem politically” and across the globe. Yet, after admitting that the “religious right is real, and international fundamentalism is dangerous and frightening,” White goes on to admonish Hitchens for reducing religion down “to a series of criminal anecdotes” – presumably ignoring all the good stuff it has done for the world.

In this way, White rehashes a well-worn criticism of the new breed of atheists – that they do not recognize the positive, progressive aspects of organized religion and instead focus only on the negative





Apparently, without Christianity and Judiaism there’d be no Slavoj Zizek or Isaac Newton. Perhaps. However, Hitchens never denies the significant role religion has had to play in the formation of ideas and movements. In fact, he openly admits the opposite, stating that religion has been directly responsible for a number of humanity’s first discursive efforts: “Religion is part of the human make-up. It’s also part of our cultural and intellectual history. Religion was our first attempt at literature, the texts, our first attempt at cosmology, making sense of where we are in the universe, our first attempt at health care, believing in faith healing [and] our first attempt at philosophy.”




If White wants to claim that religion has been a wellspring of ideas for the intellectual and artistic classes he must also admit that it has also been an unyielding source of suffering, persecution and censorship at the same time.

Buddhism is yet another fiction, another deep sleep that convinces adherents that life is only an appetizer for the next incarnation; whether or not their ethical structures have more in common with Western notions of “decency” or violent Wahhabism remains irrelevant so long as Eastern religions preach that life here and now is merely foreplay before the real thing, and that more than anything provoked Hitchens’ ire.

Hitchens has consistently refuted this line of argument, contending that even seemingly moderate religions are in essence a kind of extremism as they reject the most basic forms of reason and instead trust a faith that praises an unseen creator and runs counter to most objective notions of reality.


. Furthermore, Hitchens saw moderates as facilitators of the abhorrent extremist brand of religiosity that threatens abortion clinics and blinds “adulterous” women with acid. When the Danish cartoon controversy erupted in 2005 Hitchens was shocked to see that moderate adherents to Christianity and Islam spent their time decrying the cartoons but not the violence itself, ignoring the murderous mobs who had taken to the streets in reply.

　反ー無神論に対して、結論として、宗教のない世界では、善い人たちは、できるだけ、最良なことをするものだし、悪い人たちは、、最悪のことをするが、宗教的になると、いい人でも悪いことをする、と。



　大半は賛同する。元本も反論本も読んでいないからなんともいえないが、しかし、疑問もある。
　例えば、人間にとって、自分の死や、身近の人の死というのは、一大事件なわけだ。
　動物でも近親者の死は悲しむものもあるそうであるが、悲しむだけではおさまらないものが人間の中にはある。死の意味を求めて、一つの物語ができあがる。

　で、その物語は、面白いし、読んでいるうちにのめりこむかもしれないが、虚構である。

　それでも、例えば、自分の死を迎える二人が居て、迫りくる死のために不安で狂いそうになっており、他方は、自分の愛するものが迎えに来てくれると思って安心しているとする。

　無意味な死をそのまま受け入れないのは不合理だから、駄目というのは酷で、私は、後者のような人がいてもいいと思うのだ。
　

　虚構かな、と思っても、もしかして、本当だったらいいな、といった態様で死を迎えても、多少不合理なところがあるにせよ、魅力的な最後の一つだと思うのだ。
