ただ謙のみ福を受く
Only the modest gets blessings:

「ただ謙のみ福を受く」、これは世間一般に信じられていることとは相容れない。通常は、たとえ傲岸不遜であっても、大胆不敵に生きていくような人が成功すると考えれれているが、決してそうではない。そのような人は、一時的に成功を収めたとしても、いつか没落をしていくものだ。
Only the modest gets blessings. It is against the traditional belief in the world. Usually, it is believed that bold-minded people will make success in the world, even though they are arrogant. But, it will never the case. Such a type of person is to decline in no time ,although they are temporarily successful.
反して、内に燃えるような情熱を秘めてはいるが、あくまでも謙虚で誠実な人こそが、天祐もあり、大成をしていく。
On the contrary, the person who is entirely modest and honest while having a strong flaming desire in his or her mind can receive blessings from heaven, and make a big success later.

One can evaluate others, but it seems more difficult that one recognizes oneself than you expect. So we should be careful to be correct in self-judgement. (self-judgement)
