Although the Liberal Democratic Party got a historical landslide defeat in the House of Councillors election on Sunday, it approved calmly on monday that Prime Minister Shinzo Abe continues his post.The cabinet reshuffle is expected to be done in September, which means drowsiness(slowness) of the party to cope with crisis.However,in the part of the Democratic Party of Japan also, there are some curious things, like that President Ichiro Ozawa has never appeared in the public scenes since Saturday.So the party has voiced nothing meaningful in spite of now staying at good opportunity after its glandslide victory.Then it can be said that both ruling and opposition parties have never found out their next tactics.With regard to the political fund control law, the prime minister instructed ministries and agencies concerned to again revise the law.

The Liberal Democratic Party was defeated devastatingly in the House of Councillors election with the seats the party got in the 30 and so level. On the other hand, the Democratic Party of Japan made a great advance and is sure to get the majority in the chamber.This result made ruling coalition block fail to get the majority in the chamber in a big margin. We can say that due to the so-called public pension fiasco and other lunders in the Cabinet members, the punlic gave a severe punishment to the Abe administration. However, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe intended to continue his grip of the government. He is expected to reshuffle its cabinet early in next month. In these circumstances, the political scene from now on is sure to have a various kind of aspects ,and will have a possibility for the House of Reperesentatives to be dissolved sometime of not a far future.

The Economy,Trade and Industry Ministry will launch on a new regulation in order to prevent disputes over the mail orders through the Internet from taking place.Under the new regulation, a would-be seller is prohibited to send an advertising mail for the products or services it is providing to people without their prior permission.Another regulation is that the mail order businesses should establish a payment method that their customers can make a payment after they receive the products they have ordered.This is apparently aimed at preventing illegal tarnsactions, like ones that products are not delivered to people even though they have already paid money, from happening.

Japan's Nuclear Safety Commission has decided on Thursday that it will revise the nuclear power plant earthquake-resistance satndards,which was decided last year.This decision came after the severe damages at the Kashiwazaki-kariwa nuclear power plant of Tepco,caused by the recent Niigata Prefecture Chuetsu Offshore Earthquake.The tremor there at the time was more than expected.This gave a serious shock to the people concerend.The new satndards likely will oblige the operators of neclear power plants to disclose the possibility that a big accident occurs.And also, the operators are forced to implement several measures for strengthening decrepit(old) facilities to be sufficient for the new satndards.
